Even if Huckster's record could be excused away, comments like "I didn't raise taxes -- I raised hope" reveal a basic pro-nanny-state mindset that quite properly makes him unacceptable to fiscal conservatives.
There's no way I'm voting for a ticket that has the Huckster in either slot.
