WSJ Editorial: Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy
The Wall Street Journal ^ | January 25, 2008 | Editorial

The Democratic epiphany about the political tactics of Bill and Hillary Clinton continues, with scales falling from eyes on a daily basis. "I think it's not Presidential," said former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, about Mr. Clinton's steady barrage against Barack Obama. "It's not in keeping with the image of a former President, and I'm frankly surprised that he is taking this approach." Mr. Daschle supports Mr. Obama, but how he could be surprised is another matter.

"This is beneath the dignity of a former President. He is not helping anyone, and certainly not helping the Democratic Party," added Vermont Senator Pat Leahy. On the point of "helping" the party, Mr. Leahy seems to have forgotten that the Clinton Presidency was an era of more or less persistent Democratic losses -- except for the Clintons.

This is a delayed reaction to Lewinsky-Impeachment. The Dems and their fellow travelers in the media were so committed to defending Clinton (and holding onto power) that they ignored or refused to believe just how deceitful the Clintons are. Now, all of a sudden, they are surprised! Self-delusion about the Clintons is coming to an end. And it's about time.

Uh, Tom where have you been?

Somebody has really been lost in the SD Badlands or the Black Hills for a while.

The winner in all this might be John Edwards.

Clintons are racists, it’s been known here for a while.

They are also murderers... the personal attacks on Obama are proof of that. They are self obsessed narcissists. They do not go for the issues, they go and complain of the guy. They make themselves holier than anyone around themselves and are obsessed with their image.

This, again, has been known for a while over here at FR.

As for conspiracy, you betcha. It’s one thing to put stupid liberals in power so they do not pass you, but they also wish for power and conspire for it. So, the result is that we bring up a vast array of folkes who are conspiring for power in the wrong thinking that we can better control Hitler instead of fight Romel, or control Lenine than fight the Tsar of Russia, for example.

This country was born on dignified fight with the King of England, not on voters who like to vote for idiots who smoke pot and think that brings us peace... It’s very sad how we have become.

Note to Tom Daschle: Get a clue, whoever said the klintoons want to help the democratic party? The beast and bubba are looking out for themselves.

Clintons are racists,

More rank opportunist, I'm inclined to believe. If Clinton had been governor of Arkansas in 1957, it would have been him and not Orval Faubus standing in the schoolhouse door.

They use race, or rather their constituents perceived anxiety about racial issues, as a tool.

Bill Clinton craves approval and is grateful for the support and love he receives from black Americans, but they are as disposable to him as a semen stained generic Kleenex.

Hillary, otoh, is thankless as well as shameless. She doesn't so much crave approval as demand obeisance. An odd and perverse woman, she is better suited to the role of oriental potentate than elected official in a democracy.

... an Affirmative Action that does not enforce the talents which go with the rank is a Negative Action. We are fools to deal with these fools who now have declared a fight for power, screw themselves and are becoming more and more at war in the country with anything sane.

I think a lot of Democrats started to get a clue at the Wellstone Memorial Pep Rally. That opened a lot of eyes and definitely contributed to Coleman’s victory and might have thrown enough support behind Bush that year to put him over the top.

There were a lot of Democrats whom I believe resented being forced to support Clinton during impeachment. It was an awkward position having to condemn the actions, but then support the perpetrator.
