Mitt Romney has been called every vile horrible name under the sun on this site. They have ridiculed him and his religion. They have lied about his record. They have made up fanciful stories. Their hatred is way out of balance. Mostly, I just ignore the stupidity and ignorance and childish junk spewed. But when they cross the line into foul language or out-and-out evil, I hit the abuse button.

Here ... hit abuse on this post... the debate tonight was the very definition of “abuse”. To think this is the best Republicans have to offer is the biggest abuse of them all.

Not only against Mitt. Few on this board have ever met any of the candidates and know nothing about them as a person. We've been tossing around some pretty nasty stuff about these guys and they don't deserve it. I'm guilty of this myself and feel smaller for getting caught up in it. It gets like an athletic constest and its easy to start taunting the "away" team and end up feeling foolish.

Actually, although I'd never vote for him, if I had a chance to have a cup of coffee and chew the fat with any of them it would be Huck. I like him a lot.....just not for president.

SD, Romney's an optimist even while under verbal assault. We so need an optimist and he's intelligent. Since when is that a bad thing? Mitt's taking a lot of abuse and he's still standing.

I generally hit the abuse button ONLY when someone calls another freeper a liar, or makes up stuff about another freeper, or makes statements that I think would reflect poorly on the site (like suggesting the death of our opponents would be a good thing).
