There was the story of a trader who transposed some buy and sell prices.. instead of selling 1 share for 53,000,000 yen, he sold 53,000,000 shares for 1 yen (something like that). Ooops. They tried to stop the trade but..
Sometimes these mistakes work in your favor. This happened quite a while ago, One of the richest south american land owners, while he did inherit quite a bit of land/mining interests, when he went to sell off some lands to some overseas investors he quoted a figure that he though was fair to some interested buyers.
They on the other hand thought he was specifying dollars instead of the local currency. He was pretty happy after the deal.
