I doubt seriously if McCain has ever earned a dime from anyone but the US Government his whole life. There is something very unsettling about his POW stances. I know at one time his Navy CO called him “Gregory Greenass” and it was also known that he wasn’t very popular among his fellow pilots.

Id rather have clean government than First Amendment rights. John McCain, 2006That statement is a perfect illustration that McCain is not grounded in reality. Or else he's a megalomaniac. No government ever has been or probably ever will be free of corruption. The rights protected by the 1st Amendment are the best tools there are to limit corruption. That was exactly the intention of the Founders when they ratified it along with the rest of the BoRs.

Great article!! Bookmarked for ammunition in the battle for America.

Thanks for the ping.
John McCain wasn’t a war hero. I would have to look it up, but I remember that in his own writings he has said he offered to trade military information for medical treatment soon after he was shot down. He was taken to a hospital that treated North Vietnamese military officers and other high-ranking officials. And he apparently continued to get very special treatment during the years he was kept separate from the other POWs.

Bob Smith amassed a list of POWs who were last seen alive or evidence that they were alive in North Viet Nam. It’s called the Smith List. I’m looking for it again.

Thanks Phil. That's the one.
The Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs was a disgraceful affair reminiscent of the French abandonment of the GCMA (Groupements de Commandos Mixtes Aeroportes) in North Viet Nam in 1959.
