very true. At first glance, Mitt may be the default guy. There is no way I would ever cast a vote for McCain. One thing that bothers me is how most of the Reps seem to embrace the fraud of AGW.
AGW has the potential to unleash a level of control in our lives that is insidious. Most people don't have a clue to the vile totalitarian nature of the AGW movement. It bothered me greatly that Mitt and others were so eager to raise their hands when that leftist moderator in Iowa posed the loaded question on Climate change. Fred gave hope that someone that may hold the Presidency would bring sense to the issue. He is now gone. McCain is rabid for AGW, as are the demoRats.
I wish that some scientist, say Roy Spencer or Dr Ball, or Professor Linzden, could get to speak to Romney. If Mitt believes humans cause climate change, it is disheartening. I realize this is but one topic, but AGW has the potential to grow into a cancer that will push what's left of our capitalistic system into pure Socialism.
It would be bold of Mitt to forcefully state that a major aspect of the AGW crowd is totalitarian control of our lives and that aspect must be repudiated. Liberty and limited government need to be emphasized by our candidates. On issue after issue, we are always pushed left. Programs grow, regulations multiply -- nibbling at our Liberty and pocketbook. At this point, it seems Mitt may be our candidate. I pray Mitt will have the wisdom to speak forcefully of the limits of government power.
a lot of people simply accept without question what many scientists are telling them. It’s not so hard to understand why they would go for things like AGW (and a lot of other highly flawed theories that I won’t get into right now...)
