Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.

Romney said Fred would be a great VP.
Got a link?
I was watching also and he did say that, the signal was cutting in and out but I did hear it. I will look for a transcript.

Would you like to be first with the V-8 Slap on the Forehead "We could've had Fed Thompson" lament, or should I start off?

Romney is the smartest guy in the room. We all know it.
“LOL good one, that is a knee slapper.”
Ah, double major in Law and Business from Harvard. Say what you want, the dude is pretty bright.

It was Carl Cameron interviewing Romney on the campaign trail down in Florida. Romney had high praise for Thompson and when Carl asked him about Thompson for VP, Romney said he would make a wonderful VP, or very close to that (Carl’s videophone kept cutting in and out during the interview).

wed better get ready to say President Hillary or President Obama because the GOP is toast. Only if you make it so.
Nope, can't lay that on me I haven't had a chance to vote yet, my primary isn't until May. Those 'who make it so' are those Republicans who have chosen to ditch their conservative principles and instead vote for liberal socialist Republicans. If you can't understand the GOP cannot win without its conservative base then its you who make it so.

Romney has his bad points. On the plus side, he has one thing that I havent seen from any of the other candidates: optimism. Do not underestimate that factor. It was a large part of Reagans success. Part of Obama's "magic" is that same forward-looking optimism. He offers "hope".
The idea that a tired Old RINO like McCain , with his Dole-like wooden delivery of speeches, is Mr Electable, while the Reaganesque Romney is not ... is MSM conventional wisdom pap.
I think Romney is the only candidate we have who could take out Obama.
Hillary? I think McCain and Romney both could beat her.

Why do you remain a loyal republican? What has that party done for you lately, if anything?
I’m genuinely interested, but hope you have more than just “it isn’t the democrats” to offer as a reason for your loyalty.
I haven’t supported the RNC in years, don’t intend to take it up again either. New tagline.
