When the FXI wants to talk to you, there is only one acceptable answer, “No”.

I remember, when in the Navy Security Group, one of the Hebrew linguists had dual Israeli-U.S. citizenship. He had a TSC. I’ve always thought of that as insane.

AIPAC’s mission is to serve the interests of a foreign power. Any American who passes or misuses classified documents to advance foreign interests deserves to be locked up. Simple as that. FBI tactics are a side issue, a distraction, a red herring.

The Israelis probably know how many hairs Bill Clinton has on his anus.

LOL. And it’s probably cheaper that hiring a lobbyist!

I am amazed that was allowed. He had done israeli military service as well to keep his israeli citizenship?

No. He was born in the U.S. but reared on a kibbutz with his grandparents until he was 14 years old. The family had been in the U.S. for over a century but, from what he said, were supporters of Zionism. Greatgrandparents had moved to Israel shortly after 1948 to help found a kibbutz. Hence family members moved back and forth from the U.S. to Israel. Bar Mitzvah was in Los Angeles.

He could be pleasant but was borderline obnoxious, and one of the most emotional men I’ve ever known.

Cannistraro ping.

Reportedly there is a link between Valerie Plame and Judith Miller in the AIPAC scandal.
That prosecution is separate from Fitz’ case so he may not have juridiction over all the
Plame/Miller stuff.

That's good. FXI is good.

The only thing missing in this article is a description of exactly what kind of secrets were passed along and who determined that the data should be classified and when. It would not be the first time that someone has been prosecuted for passing classified info that was NOT classified at the time the alleged crime took place.

That is just unreal. It seems clear that there must have been an overriding order to force the clearance approval to disregard israeli dual citizenship - was this before or after the Pollard case?

It was in 1979. I believe that was before Pollard.

(You realize I’m giving away my age, don’t you!!)

The article is stocked quite thickly with anecdotes from questionable "seeds" besides Cannistraro...

...John Pike, who directs GlobalSecurity.org...

Is yet another perpetually quoted disarmament wingnut who has his panties in a wad over the abandonment of the ABM treaty, etc...

John Pike and Steven Aftergood, researchers at the Washington, D.C.- based Federation of American Scientists (FAS)--MotherJones MA93: Our secret agents

It gets better...

THE UNITED STATES INSTITUTE OF PEACE -- He [Pike] has served as a Technical Consultant to the United Nations Group of Government Experts on Confidence Building Measures in Outer Space, as well as to a variety of other government and corporate clients, including Cable News Network, National Public Radio, Universal Studios and the British Broadcasting Corporation. He advised the 1984 Mondale campaign, the 1988 Dukakis campaign, and the 1992 Clinton campaign on defense and space policy issues. He is frequently called on by print and broadcast media for commentary, and by Congressional Committees for testimony, on space and national security issues. 14 posted on 01/17/2002 6:45:12 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

In said committees Pike was credited as "Dr. Pike" but was forced to admit he had not obtained a degree. He is noted for being good at managing the media by his colleagues at FAS.

If this reporter Mark Matthews had to use disclaimers and notification of liberal content on every source his article would read like a TV pharmaceutical ad.

"...American needs a Middle East policy made in the USA, not in Tel Aviv, or at AIPAC or AEI."
"...a nest of Pollardites in the Pentagon has been transmitting American secrets, through the Israeli lobby AIPAC, to the Reno Road embassy and to Sharon"

Of all of the leaks in the last five years designed to destroy Bush or our ability to fight terrorists, the only people who get charged are two Americans who are trying to get the WP to expose how much Iran is interfering in Iraq??

So charges over the secret prisions leak? Nothing on Abu Graib? Nothing on the banking leaks? Or the overseas wiretaps?

Why would the FBI be so incredibly unable to actually prosecute somebody who is ACTUALLY trying to harm our country? I’m not given the two AIPAC guys a pass without hearing their side of the story.

But seriously.... this is all we got other than Scooter Libby being boned to show for all these freaking leaks??????
