PROSPERITY, S.C.--Fred Thompson is punctual. So punctual, in fact, that when I arrived at 12:23 this afternoon for his 12:20 appearance at the Stable Steakhouse here in Prosperity--thinking that he'd start at least 30 minutes late, like nearly every other presidential candidate--Thompson was already speaking. I asked the hostess how long he'd been at it. She said three minutes.

“Huckabees an unctuous, smarmy snake.”
You definitely have a way with words!! Love it.

I’ll tell you one thing- there’s something so odd about this election cycle- I can’t even articulate it properly. I’ts not just the up-front early primaries, it’s not just the actual and apparent media bias...it’s...something else.

Hello,
I don’t think so, but would love to work here in the St. Louis County area for Fred. How about we contact Fred08 and see if we can get something going?

Like most presstitutes (ah, errr, reporters) in this day and age have no idea of history. They didn’t study history, hardly studies English, didn’t study math, they took journalism and I doubt hardly any failed.

I have Church Lady, but don’t know how to post pics.
(I actually have an aunt who’s her twin in looks and attitude — a preacher’s wife. My siblings and I call her “Aunt Church Lady”, but she doesn’t get it.)

I read the article. Huck calls himself a Christian. What he is purposely doing is not at all Christian. Huck is a perfect example of a hypocrite.

There’s been push-polling in this campaign before. There were push-polls tied to Huckabee in Iowa last month bashing Rudy, Thompson, and Romney, and the month before that there were polls in Iowa pushing McCain and attacking Romney for being a Mormon.

I'm sure there's some sort of Fred Thompson activity going on there. A lot of the early Draft Fred Thompson committee came from Missouri. Carl Bearden, the former Speaker pro tem of the Missouri House, was one of the key ones.

...I read the article. Huck calls himself a Christian. What he is purposely doing is not at all Christian. Huck is a perfect example of a hypocrite... I respect your opinion.
But on the other hand, boy I am happy he is ready to Kick a**. Like he says, they have been kinking in the ass I hope he does the same and more. I dont' want another "jimmy," who will let everybody corner him that he has to be a wimp and taking it until they turn him into a pulp!... That's what a member of the "Christian Left" would do. I want a guy with a good "moral foundation," but that's just it as far as governing. He can be as Christian as he wants to, as long as he does become a pu*** because of it. We need a STRONG president.
None of that Huck! Show some ba**s :)

Part of it is how small the candidates seem. They just don't seem to measure up to the leaders we used to have.
A lot of that, of course, is the simple fact that everyone looks better once we've had time to forget about their flaws. Still, I think there might be something to it. There aren't exactly any Washingtons or Jeffersons out there, that's for sure.
