Fred Gets Feisty
NEWSWEEK ^ | January 17, 2008 | Andrew Romano

PROSPERITY, S.C.--Fred Thompson is punctual. So punctual, in fact, that when I arrived at 12:23 this afternoon for his 12:20 appearance at the Stable Steakhouse here in Prosperity--thinking that he'd start at least 30 minutes late, like nearly every other presidential candidate--Thompson was already speaking. I asked the hostess how long he'd been at it. She said three minutes.

He even took a shot at McCain, an old friend, on amnesty.

This likely was his milquetoast differing with his old friend comment, said only to dampen the stalking horse charge.

Depend on it, if Fred were taking real shots at McCain, the MSM would be calling Fred nasty and negative, not feisty.

What is the Left, thus their allies in the MSM most noteworthy of? It’s actually creation of confusion. From confusion comes need. Need for leadership. This whole thing of pushing #1 Giuliani, then no Giuliani, then they pushed #2 Ron Paul, then no Ron Paul, then they pushed #3 Huckabee, now Huckabee is waning actually and they are pushing #4 McPain. They are going to run out of RINO’s to push pretty soon, but what has been going on is simply they are attempting to disorient, confuse the undecided and the Conservatives, thus create a split in their opposition with the goal of ultimately riding in as the Cavalry and leading the electorate with promises of Prime Rib in every oven and Creme Brulet for dessert.

They are succeeding.

Add to that the Left and their MSM minions are ignoring the campaign of Duncan Hunter, the most dangerous candidate in the Lefts’ perspective, and they are throwing stones and calling names as well as limiting all they can any face time for Fred.

Romney has been their biggest problem in so far as his campaign seems to continually gain delegates even as they throw everything they can muster at him. He’s a Politicians Politician.

I have no problem if Romney does win the nomination, but I’d much rather see DH, or FDT in the Whitehouse.

Our money goes to Fred.

I’m not going to allow them to confuse me.

Actually, sand, many of the people at Huck's Army are dedicated, sincere young people ... including a couple of my own children.

Sad that a bit of their naivete will be destroyed by a charlatan. IMO, of course.

Don't you have a date with some Metamucil? If Fred's campaign is in as bad a shape as you say (and it may be), I'm puzzled as to your need to reaffirm that for yourself on every thread with "Fred" in the title.

Does anyone know if Fred has a grassroots organization working in Missouri yet? (Specifiaclly StL area) I have gone out and looked on the net but I wasn't able to find anything. I am also a Fred08 member and didn't see anything there either. Can anyone help?

I really would like to get involved at the grassroots level for Fred for Super Tuesday.

(Yes, yes, yes. I am being VERY optimistic that Fred will perform well in SC.)

"Huck doing what he did in Iowa! Push pull saying Fred for partial birth abortion. "

The Huckster is a political whore, just like the last century's Huckster from Hope.

Actually, your statement is laughable and shows a lack of education on your part!

your childish and rude comment is sad. I will not make a comment on your character, it is obvious from your juvenile response. Have a nice day.

If you find anything, ping me. I'd be happy to be involved as well in STL.

It is solely the supporters of Huckabee who are doing this.

I have wondered if one of the primary (but secret) Huckabee supporters isn't George Soros........

Liars and con artists like Huckabee always use the innocent as a front when they can get away with it. It adds credibility to their message and helps disguise the deficiencies in their character.

Honestly, doesn’t it make sense? ALL the discontent, the disconnect, the inability for the party to unite?

Strings being pulled somewhere for sure....and lots and lots of money...
