Cool! How many will he take on at one time? Will they air it on pay-per-view? *snicker*
Everyone should keep in mind that after McCain, Fred Thompson does the best in head to head match-up polls against both Hillary and Obama.
Fred beats Giuliani, Huckabee, and Romney in the polls against the Democrats.
We ought to be discussing this fact more.
A DIRECT FOR MC CAIN

Considering that several million will not show up to vote for McCain (because he has been the knife in the back for conservatives for so long) I would think that in reality he has less chance against any dem than does even Ruby.
HAR! That is a bad ass pic, btw.
Fred IS the best candidate.
He can handily beat Hildabama.
Time to fight for conservatism folks, or it means nothing.
Yeah that's what Fred says now. A year ago he was pumping the Bush administration's company line.
Fred is no better than the other posers on immigration and border control. Just another "path to citizenship" boy converted on the road to Damascus.
*uckabee is pure slime.
This push-polling scumbag needs to go down for the count in South Carolina.
I think he would be a great VP for Mitt!
All the candidates will be in this thing until 6 February!
Yeah that makes sense since on the issue of illegal immigration Mitt is now reciting Fred’s white paper.
I find it funny that people say Fred was late when he was the first to put out detailed white papers on the issues. Rudy has adapted Freds tax paper, Mitt his immigration paper.
Makes me wonder who was late.

Oof!: Huckabee: Only Racists Or Nativists Oppose Bush Plan
And this isn’t while he was governor, it was in defense of Bush’s comprehensive immigration reform.
Wrote in his 2007 book that implementing strict enforcement of immigration laws “would be sheer folly”
2006: Supported President Bush’s immigration plan and claimed that opposition to Bush’s proposal was driven by “racism or nativism” and that it wasn’t amnesty. (Ralph Hallow, “Huckabee ‘Serious’ About Presidency,” Washington Times, 5/17/06)
Helped lead the effort to open a Mexican Consulate in Little Rock to issue Matricula Consular cards to Mexicans living in the U.S. (including those in the U.S. illegally). Many banks, including some in Arkansas, accept the card as a valid form of identification. (Jon Gambrell, “Ark. Candidates Criticize Mexican Matricula Cards,” AP, 10/18/06)
He’s been very clear on his viewpoint from the start.
Stark contrast with Huckabee’s latest flip flop.
I had a thought this morning (before enough coffee so we'll see). Ok.. like McCain or not, he has his supporters within the Republican Party. If he didn't he wouldn't be perpetually running for President. What if Thompson took him for VP? I believe McCain to be sincere...sincerely WRONG sometimes, yet sincere nonetheless (like Bush,IMHO).
I think the whole stalking horsecrap was just that. And it's been spammed/discussed here ad nauseaum. Would a Thompson/McCain ticket fly or even be an option?
I don’t doubt that there is alot of “politics” going on between the candidates, all I was referring to was that Mitt has the steam and support but Fred brings a little bit of stability to the table. not that Mitt needs it, it is still a good idea.
