I have got to get something off my chest, and this is not necessarily directed at you, or any other Mitt supporters (who I think are generally the most respectful supporters on this board).

During the "off" years, we hear over and over again, how the primaries are the time to vote for who you want, or for the true "conservatives", because that is what there purpose is, yet when people say that they voted for who they want, or in this case the "conservative" they get slammed anyway!

I am by no means a Fred supporter, and many here will be surprised at my sticking up for his fans, but let the voters vote their conscience! Don't shame them into thinking that what they did was wrong. Please, I beg of you all! RatsDawg, and others have supported Fred for a long time, and they deserve the right to vote for him (for maybe the only time) without getting hassled. We can do the wheeling and dealing, begging and consoling after the nominee is picked, this is the time to vote your wants, not your don't wants.

I also tend to wonder why it is looked so badly upon when John McCain gets crossover votes (ie. voters that may or may not support him, but voting strategically) yet it is encouraged for Mitt to get votes the same way?

but let the voters vote their conscience!

I'm pretty sure that stopped for most people in the late 1700's.

Because we know where Johnny Mac stands on amnetsy, globaloney and taxes. We're still not sure about Mitt.

I don't think it was wrong. I just think it was purely symbolic as opposed to strategic. Both approaches are valid. It all depends on if an ardent Fred supporter thinks knocking McCain back in MI will help Fred elsewhere, or if he thinks the final MI counts will be more valuable by having a decent showing.

As I wrote above, you makes yer vote and takes yer chances.

I don't believe in open primaries. If you want to nominate a Party candidate, join the frickin' Party. If a candidate can't win without crossovers, then he is a piss-poor representative of the Party.

OK, people. Get over it. I merely quoted what Mark Levin said. He said Vote Romney. Stop McCain. I happen to agree with him. You don’t. Fine. You all doth protest too much.

I'm with you. Enough of this. Everybody should vote for whoever they are most comfortable with. All this strategy BS is BS
