Well it's a stupid strategy. It would be like the New England Patriots going 0-6 to start the season so they could save their best for the Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts games. They might have beaten those two teams but they wouldn't have made the playoffs.
But if there were 50 games in a season, instead of 16 it might make sense. Rudys strategy may not work, but so far it is right on track to what he said it would be from the get go!
I don't think anyone thought that his polls would fall so far, but this game is so wide open with Mitts win tonight, that anything can happen.
Heck Fred supporters are rightfully pointing out that he may go from single digits in South Carolina last week to a possible 1st or 2nd this week, why can't Rudy do the same with the States he is targeting?
I don’t know if it’s a stupid strategy or not.
Rudy has taken a hit in national polls by his cautious approach to the early primaries. It’s certainly deprived him of free MSM publicity.
But if politics is like a battlefront, there is some wisdom in doing some early light skirmishes while keeping all the big stuff for the battle you expect.
I’m not saying he’ll win that battle, but I do understand why he’s doing it.
