I agree with you. The fact that Russert didn’t push her too hard is not the point. When have we ever heard the mainstream press even bring this up? Never. The fact that he puts her in a position of having to say anything to these questions, especially with the pardons, her brothers’ involvements, Marc Rich, etc. is a huge plus. There is 10 1/2 months left for this stuff to fester into a big boil that somebody is going to pop.
It’s early and I give Russert credit for bringing it up. Hell, if NBC puts it in play, it gives Obama a chance to use it, not to mention if she wins the nomination (not a foregone conclusion yet) the Republicans, Rush, Hannity, O’Reilly, Hume, etc. will have plenty of time to pick at the boil and burst it. It is a long, long way to election day and she is not going to have it easy. She really is not presidential material. I am very happy Russert starting bringing this up now.
Whenever Hillary lies my pet squirrel takes a sip of beer.
Better get him enrolled for the nearest AA meetings
Grow some stones Timmy.
Be damned glad I’m not your boss.
Forget AA - better hope that PETA doesn’t
hear about it.
“I felt very well briefed. And it wasn’t just what the Bush Administration was telling us in the NIE, I went way outside of any kind of Bush Administration sources; independent people, people from the Clinton Administration, people in the British Goverment. I looked as broadly as I could at how to assess this.”
And then I voted to go to war.
What a bunch of crooks.
She also said she was running to get Americans jobs. Her record in upstate New York is terrible. That is where Tim is from and he should have asked her how she was going to fix the Nation when she hasn’t done a thing for NY.
Well this whole position of hers as having 35 years of “experience” is a farce that will not play out for her. Her best experience is the attempted takeover of healthcare back in ‘93 that was abandoned by even the wildest leftists. We owe her a tremendous debt of gratitude for that because we never would have gotten a Republican House and Senate without her efforts.
I love Reagan and respect Bush 41 but they could never accomplish what Hillary and Bill were able to accomplish in the reformation of congress in less than 2 years in office.
“The fact that Russert didnt push her too hard is not the point”
I was being flip - I do hope she is exposed, but not holding my breath.
What about George Stephanopoulos..........wasn’t he under oath a few times?
you’re right! He IS missing.
I’ve been around a bunch of the site in my tagline, and I can’t say I’ve seen anything of steffie.
hmmmm
Hillary's entire declaration was a work of fiction.
Her brain is jello.
Yeah, this will convince everybody.

[snip] The liberal watchdog Media Matters for America [Hillary founded it] counted more than eight negative remarks Matthews made about Clinton for every positive one during September, October and November... “Let’s not forget, and I’ll be brutal, the reason she’s a U.S. senator, the reason she’s a candidate for president, the reason she may be a frontrunner, is that her husband messed around,” [end]

Nothing to fear.
Worse case scenario she wins and does to the rats what her husband did to them.
After just two disasterous years in office the rats lost 52 house sears, 9 in the senate and 10 goverhnor races in 1994. she would do much worse ( or better from our perspective) than her shiftless husband.
Worse case scenario:
She is elected, gelds the military, returns troops to quickly from Iraq, which becomes and Al Qaeda stronghold. Oil prices sky-rocket to $200 a barrel. The robust American economy goes into a profound recession. Millions lose jobs and homes. America’s power and prestige sinks to new lows, as does fear of the USA.
The empowered Al Qaeda attacks the USA with simultaneous nukes in 5 major cities; New York, Dallas, LA, Miami and Seattle. Over 1 million die immediately, with millions more fatally poisoned.
Mysteriously Madam President survives the blast. She declares martial law and postpones the upcoming election “in this hour of our national mourning and confusion, unity is required”.
(I can imagine worse cases than Bill round 3.)
worst case scenario...
hillary clinton becomes President.
Buffalo to be exact. That is one of the more economically depressed areas in all of New York.
I drive Rt. 7 up the Southern Tier periodically. It is beautiful country, but all of the old towns along it are dying out. The young people move away, the old folks just sit and wait for the end. Depressing.
