Yep. (Whew - Go, Hillary!)
I felt very comfortable when I figured the rats were destined to nominate the repugnant, thoroughly unelectable Hillary. Her nomination would lead not only to a colossal electoral landslide for the Republican candidate (ANY Republican candidate) but would probably improve the GOP’s chance to take back the House with the “down ticket” ripple effect.
But Obama? The Obama phenomenon is too new to get a handle on, especially since right now it’s only the rats who are paying him much attention. I do sense the possibility, though, that with ten months of vigorous face time on TV the silly Obama fad might fade away like the hoola hoop, Trivial Pursuit, and Tickle My Elmo. I just hope it happens before election day 2008
I get sick thinking about either of these lefties getting in the WH. I can think of nothing POSITIVE about either, with one 'POSSIBLE' exception.
If Obama is elected it may put to rest ONCE AND FOR ALL the notion that we are a RACIST NATION. I would expect to see the Jesse Jackson's and Al Sharpton's of our nation slink quietly into the night.
As wonderful as my hypothesis is, I believe the price is TOO HIGH to pay. For the utter chaos that will ensue from our withdrawal from Iraq, the loss of our world standing and the leftist policies that will be put in place [etc. etc. etc.] will devastate our economy and ruin our country!!
Despite this week's hoopla over Obracko, the older rank & file Democrats would not support Obracko like the media thinks.
For all their talk about 'tolerance' and diversity, Democrats are soooo not into voting blacks into power in America.
Especially in the South and West.
Also, Jewish Democrats will REALLY have a hard time supporting a quasi-Muslim black guy, especially one who expresses distain for Israel and joy for Islamic countries.
Look at what happened tonight in New Hampshire.
Democrats tell pollsters how much they "love" the black guy on the ballot.... and then in private they change their tune.
Democrats are some of the smarmiest people on earth.

The problem with that scenario is that if Hillary wins the country is doomed. I do not get the same feeling about Obama.
I am hoping Obama knocks her out.
