Wow, I thought the Rats were against “torture.”
As much as I despise Dana Milbank, I really, really enjoyed that.
Poor Hillary.
She tries out a new likeability tour in Iowa, but it didn’t work. So she argued that likeability is not all it’s cracked up to be.
She tried avoiding questions and policy debates in Iowa, but it didn’t work.
So she tried the “I’ll stay here all night until all your questions are answered” tact, but that didn’t work either.
Now she will be arguing that wonkiness and access isn’t all it’s cracked up to be either.
She can’t get it right because she is so yesterday. She wasted whatever political potential she had (which wasn’t all that much) watching the Sinkmeister squander his presidency. Er—”their” presidency.
The newspaper on the floor near the end sums it up best.
Not to mention her scandal ridden campaign. She must be the only presidential candidate who has had a scandal occur during her campaign, not after she got into office.
She can’t win because she has to be more than an ornament; she has to be a human being with the guts and grit to not just win a campaign, but to keep a country together than is being torn apart by controversy and faction.
She's real popular.... until people actually listen to her.
They more they hear her, the more turned-off they get.
The harder she campaigns, the lower she sinks.
I think she's sinking too soon.
On one of her boring babbles in NH, she was admonishing “Mister Fire Marshal” to let more people in, directing people to their seats, pointing out empty seats, and once again admonishing “Mister Fire Marshal” to let more people in. Then, she escorted a young mommy with a child on her lap to a seat way up front, insructing Chelsea to lift the cordon to let people closer to the stage. Oh, did I mention adminishing “Mister Fire Marshal” again to let more peple in?
It’s increasingly clear that the old media has new marching orders: Hillary is unelectable - take her down.
I made the comment during her speech that the crowd sounded quiet. Like maybe about 50 people, including family, friends, media, and staffers that rely on her for a paycheck.
