Rush will soon endorse Mitt, left no choice by the popular uprising for Barak Obama, and the lack of any credible Republican alternative. He has been laying the predicate for weeks. Mark Levin has done his best to give Fred a shot. But even at his best, Fred is not what the general electorate is looking for.

A case could be made that the attacks on Huckabee is a set-up to get Huck in the news as a "Rush tamer." A Rush tamer would endear Mike to the media, and work like a Trojan Horse. That is a tough case to make. Rush will never warm up to McCain, he might reluctantly submit to Rudy. Rush would never accept Rupaul. So what does that leave us with? Fred? Rush knows Fred cannot catch fire. .

Fait Accompli.

"Rush will soon endorse Mitt..

I have never seen Rush officially endorse anyone in the primaries. It's easy to see who his favorites are, though, they are the same as mine: Fred Thompson, Duncan Hunter and Mitt Romney. :)

I think he's expecting Thompson to either finish first or a _close_ second in the South Carolina primaries. SC is where he has put almost all his marbles and has barely campaigned at all in Iowa or NH. He's only shown up in those two states because that is where the media have been and that has kept his name and face in the public eye.

If Fred doesn't do as well as he expects to in SC, then all bets are off.

Since Duncan Hunter has been pretty much off the radar screen of most people at this point, I'm hoping for a Thompson/Romney or a Romney/Thompson ticket for '08.

I think Rush is too, but he has already said that he will vote in the general election for who ever the Republican nominee is, as will I. Of course that could mean I'd really have to hold my nose in order to vote for most of the others, but, hey (!)-- that's what I had to do when I voted for Charlie Crist as governor here in Florida.

We have no hope of advancing our agenda unless the party in which we have any voice at all is in power. Our voices may have a hard time being heard in the Republican party, but we have NO VOICE AT ALL with the 'RAT party in power.

Horse Feathers.
Fred Thompson is what the conservatives want.

“Rush will soon endorse Mitt”

I do not think so! Rush has stated that he did endorse President Bush back in 2000 only because it got down to Bush and McCain in that Republican primary. Rush also stated that he does not endorse during a primary but made an exception then because he did not consider McCain to be conservative. This primary has just begun. Why anyone would think Rush would endorse at this point, I do not know. I do know that just last Friday Rush stated on his program that if anyone has been REALLY listening they would not have any problem figuring out whom he likes among the candidates. It is obvious to me that Rush likes Fred Thompson, even though I do not think he will come right out and endorse.......especially at this early date. Wait until it is down to Fred and Mitt. Then we will see! :) GO FRED!

My prediction is that Rush will not endorse anyone in the primary. Period.

That is an impossible case to make after Rush ridiculed the idea that Huckabee is a conservative yesterday by claiming to have "seen the light" and realized that open borders, high taxes, etc - everything Democrats stand for except gay marriage and abortion and antichristianity - is "the new conservatism."
