Is it possible to be smaller than a size zero?

The next step is a size singularity, where the woman winks out of existence.

Ahhh, so it’s a metric thing........thanks. That gives new meaning to the phrase “cold fish”.

Not exactly metric — but somewhat interesting.

More interesting — some of the stores catering to uh, full-sized women, play around with sizes as well. So, a woman who would be a 16 size in a typical store magically turns into a size 8.

LOL

I just can’t get this picture out of my mind.....A really skinny girl like the one in the above picture claiming to be a size zero standing next to a really really really skinny girl claiming the same. Wouldn’t the really really really skinny girl be something like -3 below zero or........?

Them womenfolk sure are complicated critters!

“...some of the stores catering to uh, full-sized women, play around with sizes...”

Sort of like the Nutri-System TV commercial?

As guys we see the concept of “size” as an absolute. We go into a store and don’t even have to try on jeans — just read the size labels.

For women, size is a marketing tool that changes at the whim of a manufacturer. Stores also play around with the mirrors and lighting in clothing stores catering to women.

I’m amazed women aren’t driven barking mad by the whole thing.

They are only women genetically. In reality, they are nothing more than clothes hangers for the homosexual males in the fashion industry.

I agree 100%...it is 'classism' 'elitism' personified.

The poor, or working class, can't afford gym memberships, personal trainers, fresh foods...and a stylist. So they eat junk food, fast food, sit on the couch watching NASCAR and the NFL wearing their ensembles from WalMart...or so it is perceived (MSM anyone?)

Its like the Renaissance period...Ruebenesque (chubby) women were the fashion of the day (heft equalled wealth...you had money for food). At the turn of the last century a pale, delicate complexion (for a woman) was a sign that she was pampered (and didn't have to out in the sun). Conversely, today a tan means you have leisure time (or a tanning salon that you pay for nearby).

There is also the educational factor — being healthy (or appearing healthy) means that you actually pay attention to what you’re eating by reading labels or through previous study.

Not to be a snob, but I’ve seen people in fast food joints eat more than 2,000 calories (an entire day’s worth) at a single sitting.

In the US at least, if you are a size 0 in misses or juniors, to go smaller, you’d end up in the children’s dept at a 14 and go down from there.

In highschool, I knew a girl who was 5’8” or 5’9” who wore a girls 14/16, which is just below a size 0 in juniors or misses.

I’m a size 8 (in the US). A perfectly normal size for my height and I have a normal BMI.

Some are...that's what eating disorders are.

The issue is the ‘ideal’ that women are given is so narrow that now only 6% of the female population can be that size ‘naturally’ without extremes in diet, purging, surgery etc. It used to be a size 8 was considered small (remember the 5 7 9 Shops for “small sizes”?)

Now watch a diet commercial and you’ll see attractive size 10 women bragging about how they are now a size 2!!!?!? It’s insane!!!

The other extreme is that now even normal women are mocked, ridiculed and called cows. Think of Britteny being called ‘fat’ at her last performance. Or some guy here who said the Vonage ad had a fat cow in it. I saw the woman, she’s normal!

Even hips are considered a bad thing....so you have to not only add in an eating disorder to get rid of your hips, but add in silcone boobs to make up for what you’ve starved off.

Movies now have women so small that they look like 12 year old girls in their mom’s clothes. It’s a mad mad world.

So, honestly, this is no surprise. 94% of the female population is being told they are ugly, fat, disgusting cows by the media, forums, friends and yes, posts here.

I could solve the entire eating disorder thing overnight.

Put a nice dress on a woman and have her walk by a construction site during lunch. If there are fewer than half a dozen “Hey mommas” or “Looking goods,” then they’re too heavy.

When they hit the magic number of six, they should stop losing weight.

the cemetary owner began relating how so many of his recent clients were becoming clients due to their succumbing from-of all things-sleep apnea.

Thanks for the warning. It just so happens that when I woke up this morning I was told that I had serious symptoms of sleep apnea during the night, i.e. not breathing. And now I hear this!

Sorry to hear about your mother.

The true issue is, many women take criticism about their weight too too too to heart.

IOW, if there are 10 guys at the construction site, and only 8 yell out, then she’ll still think she’s a sow.

Even if 10 yell out, she may think “They’re just being nice.” Or “they really mean it as an insult and they’re laughing.”

That girl’s not attractive. She needs some meat on her bones. A few trips to McD’s should do it.
