I have a strange suspicion (and voiced this in an earlier post months ago) that the deal is for Fred to bow out and support McCain.

I wish it was the opposite as I can tolerate Fred a whole lot more than McCain.

A friend of McKennedy is no friend of a huge percentage of this party.Amnesty John will get slaughtered in the general election by Obama. We better do better than that.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if a rival campaing, heck, McCain's campaign are throwing this rumor out there. There is nothing that Fred has said or done so far during this campaign that would indicate he's going to drop out and back McCain. OK maybe he hasn't gone after McCain so much, but prior to the media resurecting their love fest with John in these past two weeks most thought he was dead in the water and not a contender. So what reason would Fred (or anyone else) have for going after him? Tonight during the debate, Fred did take him on over immigration.

I remember that someone said that awhile back. I wondered about that, too. I believe that Fred getting into the race kept Newt Gingrich from joining the fray. Could it be that Fred has been running interference for McCain all along? That would explain his lack of intensity. Time will tell if you were right.(bookmarking)

McCain’s history also involves following the example of another military leader—Benedict Arnold! He turned on conservatism at every opportunity—campaign finance, immigration, taxes, judges. He’s an old man and the Dems second favorite to run against—Obama “change” versus McCain near-death “experience”.
