Please. You think McCain would be worse on immigration than Hillary and Obama who will be overtly working to pack the country with enough po’ folks to keep the socialist in power for eternity? McCain has his good qualities and they make him a better fallback choice than a true blue liberal Democrat in any situation.

The GOP is a coalition of different subgroups, each with different agendas. If the GOP does not nominate a candidate that is at least acceptable to the members of the coalition, then the coalition disintegrates, and the GOP goes the way of the Whigs. McCain is non-negotiably unnacceptable to at least two important groups that make up the GOP coalition. Those are the cold, hard facts. Deal with it.
