My soul cannot put the words together to properly honor this hero. It’s beyond everything mortal and soars to the heavens. God hears what we cannot communicate in a time like this.

AR. In 65 I was in tech school, while you and many honorable men fought the good fight. You all where included in my “modern warriors” in the locked post.
They die for us.
What do you say to someone who does that for you?
I really do hope there is a heaven, even if it's only soldiers who get in.

Multi-National Corps – Iraq FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MND-N Soldiers attacked by small-arms fire (Diyala) Multi-National Division – North PAO TIKRIT, Iraq – Two Multi-National Division – North Soldiers were killed in a small-arms fire attack while conducting operations in Diyala province Jan. 3. Additionally, one more MND-N Soldier was injured in the attack and evacuated to a Coalition Forces’ hospital. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending next of kin notification and release by the Department of Defense. |

When my children see me crying, and ask me why, I get to tell them the stories of Americans who willingly go to battle, knowing that they might die, but they go anyway, for us.
My children grow up understanding that our soldiers are true heroes.
So that's my silver lining, I suppose.

Tonight I am crushed. I enjoyed reading his posts now and then. America has lost a shining star. :-(
Life is so precious. That this young man gave his life in service to our country, to us — there are no words to express my sadness... May Major Andrew Olmsted be blessed throughout the eternities for his great sacrifice. May his family be comforted. Tears.
Lest we forget, lest we forget.
May he rest in paradise and the “Empire of Freedom” continue to expand because of those like him.
One of our sons is completing his training and we are so proud of him, even though we have the feelings of parents.
And so we salute his parents and family as well.
