Someone I'm beginning to trust even less than Huckabee...this FNC contributor, Frank Luntz. I've thought that his focus groups are packed by a particular brand of conservative and a full representation of the conservative spectrum is left wanting.

Also, if you haven't read this thread -- to include the whole two-paged article that's excerpted there -- you probably should.

Strategically, Huckabee is a fox in the henhouse low country, he turns attacks or disparaging of his record as of Gov into comparisons with Reagen’s record as CA Governor.

NH will be his firewall.

Frank Luntz is like Dick Morris. Both are over-hyped media darling posers convinced of their briliance while they push their personal agendas in the guise of “un-biased experts.”
If they were right as much as they are wrong they might fool more people but as yet they are only fooling fools.

I actually heard a fellow foodbank helper state: “The government should do more to feed the hungry” as we handed out boxes after boxes of staple foods. Finding contributions has never been a problem - finding space to store those contributions for distribution has been a constant issue.

And our contributors constantly lament that they have to destroy food because there’s not enough food banks who desire the materials.

There was an ad on television the other day about a market /just/ for those who get WIC vouchers. That someone could build a business just to support that client base really says something about how we’ve come to view the Federal government as the savior. I already got one Lord, I don’t want another in Washington DC.

[application of his faith to politics must include concerns for the environment, poverty and hunger.]

Just another social liberal and worse than Bush on domestic policies. Sad day when none of the front runners are true conservatives and Huckabee should be a conservative democrat as many politicians in the GOP now are.

Until now that is.

“It can’t just be about abortions and same-sex marriage,” he said.

Oh yes it can, and it will be unless we act quickly to thwart the Libs and open borders / chamber of commerce types.

I believe we are seeing the not so inconspicuous hand of the elites - both left and right - that are going to pull out ALL of the stops to make sure the two choices we have are total open borders wackos. In the end we will be told we are deciding between two candidates on emotional social issues like abortion, but the really important decisions - the ones that determine what kind of country we will have in the coming years - has long since been taken out of our hands and the “issues” in the public debate are carefully scripted to avoid ANY real discussion of immigration and illegals.

The liberation theology Huckster not to your liking? The we are prepping the dead campaign of McLame to be resurrected. We, the self-serving elites, will do whatever it takes to insure that WE call the shots as to who comes to this country and how and most importantly, how we offload the social costs of that decision while reaping the private profits to ourselves.

With the Huckster as president our prisons will be filled with tobacco smokers, fiscal conservatives, law to the letter border patrol officers, people who call him “Huckster,” dittoheads,Mormons, people who think John Entwistle was a better bass player than he and,of course, abortionists.
I guess the incarcerated baby killers make everything else alright.
