Skip to comments. Will the L.A. Times Cover Hillary’s Clueless Comments About Pakistan?

Earlier today, DRJ noted that Hillary screwed up some comments about Pakistan, revealing a frightening ignorance about the current state of affairs there. As Pakistan analyst Thomas Houlihan put it:
And then it hit me:
Sen. Clinton really didnt know that the upcoming elections were for individual seats in Pakistans parliament. She actually believed that Bhutto, Nawaz and Musharraf would be facing off as individual candidates for leadership of the country in the upcoming elections.
Sen. Clinton didnt know that Nawaz Sharif isnt allowed to run for office in Pakistan because of a felony conviction. She didnt know that President Musharraf wont be on the ballot because hes already been elected.
Sen. Clinton, a candidate for the leadership of the free world, apparently doesnt know the first thing about the country referred to by some as the most dangerous place on earth.
I am waiting with bated breath to see how the L.A. Times covers this. I looked tonight to see if there was anything online about it yet. I did find an article that noted the fact that Mike Huckabee had stumbled earlier in the month in commenting on Pakistan. The same article described the unstable situation in Pakistan as a plus for Clinton, because she is considered so great on foreign affairs.
But I could find nothing on Hillarys numerous gaffes on Pakistan at least through and including their January 1, 2008 edition.
Surely, theyre hard at work on something about it.
After all, when George W. Bush failed a pop quiz in 1999 regarding the names of the leaders of Chechnya, Taiwan, India and Pakistan, the L.A. Times thought it was worth an article. And a follow-up. And another follow-up. And some Page A1 commentary from Ron Brownstein.
Hillarys comments about Pakistan are more worrisome than Bushs poor performance on the 1999 pop quiz. After all, the current election situation in Pakistan is more critical than a pop quiz regarding the names of world leaders. And Hillarys statements were unforced errors, not the answers to a pop quiz.
So Im expecting at least four Hillary doesnt know squat about Pakistan pieces in the L.A. Times over the next couple of weeks.
Because the L.A. Times isnt biased against conservatives. And youll never find me saying anything different.
Cover up? Of course.
This from the most experienced and smartest candidate for the democrats????
Actually, it’s the Pakistanis who are wrong. Hillary is going to make them hold another presidential election—they just don’t know it yet.
She’s working on it as we speak. She and Nancy and Harry plan to hold a congressional investigation. But they have already decided to commission Jimmy Carter and Patty Murray to supervise the new presidential election that will be decreed.
Well, Joe Biden must have read this report since I just saw on PMSNBC’s Headline News bottom screen scroll that Biden has called attention to Hillary’s ignorance on Pakistan’s elections. Now, will the drive-bys pick up on this? Probably not. No doubt Rush will tomorrow.
Hillary is almost as ignorant about ASIA as Mike HUCKABEE!!
Heh. Let me help out - - the same way the New York Times will handle it. Like this:
No. Next question.
Well, she can find akistan on a map.
If it says “Pakistan.”
Even that is more than some of the Dimmycraps can do.
Further proof that Hitlery’s entier foreign policy experience consists of once having had breakfast at the International House of Pancakes.
Yeah, Bill and Hill both stiffed the waitress.
This morning I saw an article stating that the revenue and value of the print media is down 42 percent last year alone.
Wit such bias as is shown in the L.A.Times is it any wonder.
No. The LAT has not covered the Paul vs clinton lawsuit, why start now.
