There, fixed it.

This is EXCELLENT news! An endorsement from former NH Senator Bob Smith REALLY means something! He served New Hampshire faithfully for many years. Smith is the salt of the earth, and a true conservative to the core! I sorely miss Bob Smith in New Hampshire. He always did what was right for NH, and right for our country, regardless of the political cost.

Smith’s endorsement of Duncan Hunter is a BIG DEAL - a REALLY BIG DEAL! Most excellent !!!!!!

Duncan Hunter is the best running by far. A good and honest man who loves this country more than himself.

I will be voting for Hunter in the primary regardless. We need him in a position of power because he puts our interests first.

Duncan Hunter—the only choice for POTUS.

Last time I heard, Bob Smith was wearing striped pants and trying to make a career in real estate in Florida. Oh, and don’t forget his endorsement of the traitor John Kerry over President Bush just before the ‘04 election. I expect his Hunter endorsement to have the same massive effect as his Kerry endorsement.

..I always liked big Bob

I'll never forget the C-Span program where, as representatives of the US Senate, he and John Kerry went back to Southeast Asia to take a tour of the "new Viet Nam"

It was clear from Smith's questions and demeanor, that he thought they were still a bunch of lying Commies and that Kerry wasn't much better...

It is a nice endorsement. Does Bob Smith have much sway in NH politics anymore? I always liked him as a congressman, very firm against abortion.

Smith had a great reputation in office, but didn't he go off the deep end and actually endorse John Kerry in 2004?

I support and will vote for Hunter, but he is the only candidate of either party for whom I have seen no roadside signs in NH. Even fringe candidates like Kucinich, Gravel, and Tancredo have some.

Nice to see somebody give an endorsement without falling for the trap of false perceptions the media constantly feeds us. Thanks you, Bob Smith.

FINALLY! We got one!

I just got up over here and saw this thread. I have not even scrolled down to read the comments yet. But I bet there are Duncan Bashers who pooh pooh it or rationalize it away one way or another, but would puff it up if on the other hand their candidate got an endorsement. Let us see if I am right!!

Scrolling up to read now.

Is this the same Bob Smith who famously (if obscurely) went over to the US Taxpayers (now Constitution) Party, sometime back in the ‘90s?

He said everything in that endorsement and how admirable that he is showing principle and putting his name behind Hunter. People need to put the manipulation aside and give their support to Duncan Hunter. He is the best man in the race and the ‘name recognition’ excuse will take care of itself in a general election. There is no stronger candidate who carries himself well ALL THE TIME and impresses 99.9% of the people who see him. It’s about time. I have been more impressed with Ann Coulter for actually making sure she mentions her support of Hunter every opportunity she gets on tv, etc. I do not like the attempts to silence and deny this magnificent man is running. He is the candidate they fear and it is time we had strong leadership like Duncan Hunter provides. It’s time for people to get behind him because he is the best.
