Eight people have been charged with faking voter registration forms in St. Louis city and county in 2006, federal authorities announced today.

The federal indictments were unsealed this morning. Some of the accused have not been arrested yet, so their names are being withheld.

The eight people were employed as voter registration recruiters by ACORN, the not-for-profit Assoication of Community Organizations for Reform Now. ACORN ran a voter registration drive for the general election in November 2006.

Why assume that the absentee ballots will be fraudulently filled in?

Just arrange for lots of people to get absentee ballots, then when delivered have a campaign worker come by to each house, have the person sign, then the campaign worker will "help" fill in the ballot. There have been lots of reports of nursing-home workers giving "help" in filling in ballots for their patients

Yesterday I watched Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) abuse a nominee to the Justice Department (some deputy AG, I never got to see who - Whitehouse was blathering on and on) regarding a protocol formerly used by US Attorneys. US part of the Democrats effort to gin up a scandal over the appointment and dismissals of US Attorneys in the Bush Justice Department - Whitehouse was extolling the virtues of a former policy, abandoned in 2004, which prohibited US Attorneys from bringing voter fraud cases in the year leading up to an election. He was insisting that the nominee do everything he could to return the US Attorneys to that policy, arguing that no on wants the impartiality of the Attorneys corrupted by any incentive to tilt an election by bringing indictments just before voters go to the polls.

Look how long it takes to prosecute ACORN under the protocol he protests! If he were to define the "period leading up to the election" as one year, they couldn't be indicted until November 2008! This is absurdity.

BTW: Sen. Whitehouse and John Larroquette were separated at birth.

I've done a lot of research on ACORN and have found out that they are in all 50 states! They are connected with George Soros, the unions, liberal judges and the DemonRAT Party! Most of the voter fraud has been as a result of the above organizations. Proof that the RATS can't win an election without committing massive voter fraud!
