Eleven Arrests at Giuliani's Headquarters -- Manchester, New Hampshire
Christian News Wire ^ | 19 December , 2007

Posted on 12/19/2007 7:44:57 PM PST by Tlaloc

MANCHESTER, N.H., Dec. 19 /Christian Newswire/ -- Eleven protesters led by national anti-abortion activist Randall Terry were arrested yesterday outside Rudy Giuliani's presidential campaign office.

The pro-life activists, from Florida, Ohio, New Jersey, Maryland, and New Hampshire, were released later that day with trespassing charges while Mr. Terry remained in custody awaiting his court hearing.

Terry's message to the GOP and ethical voters:

"Rudy Giuliani can not ignore pro-life voters or the Republican party's pro-life platform."

"Rudy's position on pre-born babies makes him unfit to hold office and certainly means he will not carry conservative voters into election day."

"We must expose Rudy for who he is -- a deceitful left-wing Democrat masquerading as a Republican."

"New Hampshire is America's primary. What happens in New Hampshire will affect every voter in America."

Randall Terry's supporters will be picketing starting at 8 a.m., for the third day in a row in New Hampshire, outside of the County Courthouse, at 35 Amherst, Manchester, NH, waiting for his release.

14 arrested outside pro-abortion Rudy Giuliani's headquarters in Manchester.

Whatever one thinks of Randall Terry and Joan Andrews-Bell they have always been 100%  pro-life and continue to do be so.  Anti-Abortion Legend, Joan Andrews Bell and Companions Refuse to Pay Fine; Jailed for 5 Days

"There should be 1,000 pro-lifers sitting in at Giuliani's offices nationwide; he is like Joseph Stalin when it comes to killing the innocent."

-- Joan Andrews-Bell

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire, Dec. 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- 14 arrested outside Rudy Giuliani's headquarters in Manchester. Among them were dedicated anti-Abortion leaders, Randall Terry (founder of Operation Rescue), Joan Andrews-Bell (who has served multiple years in prison and is the Author of "You Reject Them, You Reject Me.") and her son Emiliano (whom suffers from "frozen joint disease" and was adopted after being rescued from a dumpster after being born with no legs.)

11 anti-abortion protesters led by Randall Terry were arrested on Tuesday for blocking the entrance to Guiliani's headquarters and charged for criminal trespassing. On Wednesday other activists followed suit: Joan Andrews Bell, son Emiliano and Willy Lewis. Randall's group was finally released around 10pm that same day, but he was inexplicably transferred and detained over night and finally released Thursday around 2pm.

Joan Andrews-Bell, Emiliano and Willy Lewis plead "nolo condendere" (which neither admits nor disputes a charge). They were fined $240 each, which they refused to pay. They were then sentenced to 5 days in jail at the Hillsborough County Jail in Manchester. Their decision is the outgrowth of their uncompromising commitment to be in solidarity with the victims of abortion, and to expose the pro-death position of Rudy Giuliani.

"These Manchester sit-ins are the beginning of a series of events that will take place in several states and escalate through Super Tuesday. Our plan is that February 5th will be the funeral of Rudy's treacherous presidential bid," said Randall Terry.

I hope this gets TONS of coverage, just in case some pro-life primary voters forget just how pro-abortion Rudy is.

And wow, Joan Andrews Bell is still fighting hard, despite all of the suffering she endured in the past.

Yeah, this is not so good news. Just gives fodder for the moonbat media to equate right thinking pro life people as Eric Rudolph types. IMHO

Eric Rudolph slaughtered two innocent people and maimed countless others by bombing Olympic Stadium. Oh yeah, and he also attacked a death chamber where babies were being butchered on a daily basis. Randall Terry and his followers have harmed no one - not even abortionists. Of course the media will equate the two, but they will slander pro-lifers regardless. Heck with them.

That said, I am no fan of Terry personally - not because of his tactics but because he is a hypocrite to the Nth degree. By cheating on his wife after many years as a self-proclaimed pro-family spokesman, he showed what kind of human being he is. Yes, his charisma is hard to match, but the pro-life movement would be wise to find new leaders.

Probably too busy whoring around with some new paramour, then forking over several hundred to destroy the evidence. How any social conservative could support this clown continues to elude me.

I would have been there protesting with them. It IS a part of the party platform. No one should be allowed to run on the Republican ticket if they are not pro-life. What is the point of the platform, if it is not being held to? May that plank pop Rudy in the _ _ _ and out the door. There are a few others that need to join him.

Perhaps there needs to be a re-evaluation of the people who are at the head of the party, on national and state levels. If they allow Rudy and others to run who are pro-choice, where is their allegiance? And we, as members of the party are allowing this to continue? They have been stabbing the true conservative candidates of the party in the back since before 2000!! What is it going to take for people to get up in arms and take back the party?

I don't understand why it is ok to believe Rudy is wrong, but not ok to make it publicly known. I don't see where this protest is going to benefit Rudy at all. It should bring it up more loudly that he is not what he wants people to THINK he is. Being quiet about it, as some here seem to imply should be, is like a silent stamp of approval. Rudy will not 'go away' by himself. Truth needs to be told. Let the light of truth show him for what and who he really is. I applaud them for their bravery, courage, boldness and for upholding the TRUTH.

I thought FR was for activitist and yet there are some here who are trying to squelch the truth from coming out in a public way. Why?

It IS a part of the party platform >>>

It certainly is, not many republicans and republican candidates seem to know this or just don’t want to know.

You are correct in both identifying slavery as abortion's Nineteenth Century analog AND in the proposed remedy. The tiny creature in the womb has no knowledge of federalism or of so-called "women's rights" (as if abortion were somehow positive for women).

In whatever capacity we experience life at those early stages, whoever our parents are, we need protection and nurture, not dismemberment. Anything less smacks of a devolution into barbarism.

I’m pro-choice. I’m pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. “No, I have not supported that, and I don’t see my position on that changing,” he responded. Source: CNN.com, “Inside Politics” Dec 2, 1999 http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Rudy_Giuliani_Abortion.htm

ANDERSON COOPER 360 DEGREES (November 14, 2006)

RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.

KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.

GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.

KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.

JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.

KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.

GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.

Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY

Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

“..giving a fading candidate even more exposure. “

The reason Rudy is fading is because he is pro-abortion, and this will help him fade further.

Yeah, this is not so good news. Just gives fodder for the moonbat media to equate right thinking pro life people as Eric Rudolph types.

For doing what the civil rights activists did in 1960s - civil disobedience? They weren't even arrested INSIDE the HQ. They were outside it.

The comparison isn't even appropriate. Rudolph killed people. All they were doing was protesting.

He was soundly defeated when he tried to unseat a Florida State Senator in a very conservative district . He repulses people and only benefits the pro-choice crowd by providing them with fodder .

Have you ever read some of the bizarre and hateful things that Terry has spewed forth ?
