Neo-Nazis Say: Ron Paul is One of Us

Wed, Dec 19, 2007 at 5:49:26 pm PST

Take this one with a grain of salt, please.

But at one of the ugliest neo-Nazi sites on the web, Vanguard News Network, the leader of the American National Socialist Workers Party says Ron Paul Lies About Lack Of Involvement With White Nationalists.

(The link goes to a Google redirect page, because I won’t link directly to these vile creeps.)

Ron Paul Lies About Lack Of Involvement With White Nationalists

Comrades:

I have kept quiet about the Ron Paul campaign for a while, because I didn’t see any need to say anything that would cause any trouble. However, reading the latest release from his campaign spokesman, I am compelled to tell the truth about Ron Paul’s extensive involvement in white nationalism.

Both Congressman Paul and his aides regularly meet with members of the Stormfront set, American Renaissance, the Institute for Historic Review, and others at the Tara Thai restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, usually on Wednesdays. This is part of a dinner that was originally organized by Pat Buchanan, Sam Francis and Joe Sobran, and has since been mostly taken over by the Council of Conservative Citizens.

I have attended these dinners, seen Paul and his aides there, and been invited to his offices in Washington to discuss policy.

For his spokesman to call white racialism a “small ideology” and claim white activists are “wasting their money” trying to influence Paul is ridiculous. Paul is a white nationalist of the Stormfront type who has always kept his racial views and his views about world Judaism quiet because of his political position.

I don’t know that it is necessarily good for Paul to “expose” this. However, he really is someone with extensive ties to white nationalism and for him to deny that in the belief he will be more respectable by denying it is outrageous — and I hate seeing people in the press who denounce racialism merely because they think it is not fashionable.

Bill White, Commander
American National Socialist Workers Party

(Hat tip: Lone Star Times.)

UPDATE at 12/19/07 5:52:00 pm:

Charges for the Tara Thai restaurant show up on this page listing DISBURSEMENTS FOR RON PAUL 2008 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE.

I personally do not believe in freedom of speech for people who adopt and evil ideologies like nazism or communism or islamic terrorism.

If we are endowed by our creator with inalienable rights, the government doesn't get to make the call of who deserves them or who doesn't. Yes, it is true that proponents of those toxic ideologies would, if they could, deny those rights to others. But I have yet to see a case where the best way to defeat evil is to emulate it.

“Who stoops lower that a critic of Ron Paul?”

Good question. I would venture to say, “No one.”

At one time, it was sport in the south for somewhat racist candidate to try to get the Klan to endorse a moderate opponent. The true racists would see through the scam and stick with their man, but the thought was that the moderates and Blacks would end up voting for the racist.

It a close race, it was worth the shot.

I don’t know if that is what is happening here, but it’s been done before.

Ron Paul is the major-party candidate closest to the neo-Nazis' beliefs -- he's the least supportive of the War on Terror and the most critical of Israel. Note that I am not saying he's close to their beliefs -- just closest. Perhaps least-distant would be a better phrase.

I do not believe Paul is a bigot, and he can't control who endorses him on their own time and their own dime. It's not like he's inviting Don Black up to the podium. But there is one thing that is within Ron's control, something he could do and has not -- he has not strongly, publicly, and repeatedly if necessary, condemned them and returned their campaign donations.

As others have noted, that is what Reagan did in 1980 when he learned that he had been endorsed by some Klan leaders in the South. He rejected their endorsements and returned their donations, all loudly and in public view. That is what Paul has failed to do -- with the Nazis, with the Truthers, and with all kinds of other crazies who have thrown their negligible weight behind him.

Repeating for emphasis, I do not believe Paul is a bigot or a Truther. But the fact that he does not make more of an effort to denounce them and reject their support -- and the fact that he keep appearing on a Truther radio show -- reflects badly on his judgment. The fact that he is blind to the awful impression that leaves convinces me that he is unfit to be president, a job that requires, among other things, attention to diplomacy and the impressions left by one's actions.

If S. 1955 passes the Senate, that may finally happen and not a moment too soon.

Let's see....Google News has a half-dozen stories about the Black donation (never mind that it's been rehashed here for weeks prior) American Thinker blog comes out with this story from LGF. FReepers are taking a quote from Paul (who quoted Sinclar Lewis and didn't get a chance to respond from FOX & Friends) out of context.

I'd say we're in full panic & desperation mode. What do you think old chap?

My point is that our Government has done it before, in western Europe. Granted, tough remedies were needed there at the time.

Careful there, buddy. You may just accidentally defend "hate crime" laws against religious speech. (You know "religion has caused so much strife and sparked so many wars over the years...") I'm not defending such laws, but they spring from the same rationale you give (look North and the rhetoric that Christianity promotes hatred of homosexuals).

Best to leave discourse to govern discourse (the give and take of argument).

Got my bonus check yesterday. Pretty nice sum before taxes. Taxes took 25-30%. It was literally like a kick in the guts. I was darned mad at whoever took it.

That’s my reality check to this apparent smear campaign. I am tired of big government and hysteria when someone actually threatens to change it. The lies will become more shrill and, in this case, almost comically transparent.

Last week I was 9/10 sure I would resign myself and become a Fred-Head. Fred’s okay and better than most. He’s an adult and judicial and thoughtful. But this nasty inter-nicene sh!t that goes on towards Paul makes me want to throw as many bums out as I can and change the status quo as much as I can.

It’s pathetic and a sign of how badly power wants to stay in power, and how hateful “Compassionate Conservatism” become towards you if you dare entertain the idea of leaving the plantation.

I am reminded of a phrase that my CIA friend used to describe an agent who had ended his career with some grand mistake, “That guy sleeps with dead women and live men”.

But laws about these things, Europe may need them, Canada might, we don't.

Do you realize how bigoted that sounds?
