He’s awesome. He was one of the true genuine *American* patriots in government. And even though I’m a critic of the President on many levels, I applaud him sending Bolton to the UN even though I have a hunch that he and Bolton probably disagree on a number of issues.

What makes you think that? The reason Bush appointed him to the UN, despite Dem objections, is precisely because he agrees with Bolton — it’s just that Bush, as president, can’t say things quite as bluntly as Bolton does.

Here's just one disagreement that I found. I think Bolton is a bit more 'rigid' in his thinking, take that as you will. I think it's a positive thing, the moral relativists and leftists think it's a 'bad' thing. But again, it's more of a "hunch" than anything else from what I glean of the two men's characters.

I don't expect anyone to agree with anyone else 100% of the time. I also would be curious to see what Bolton's views on illegal immigration and China would be. I just think that he would be a bit less 'globalist' than the President on those issues as well.

Again, take it as you will. It's mostly a hunch as I said. And probably as effective as looking into Putin's eyes to determine his soul ;).

He certainly would be more effective than Condi. I remember how FR rhapsodized over her when she was leading the NSA—which she did quite well. But under her, the State department is no better than it was under Colin Powell.
