More update from the mother of the two working at the church in CO Springs:
A few corrections...it was [Name]’s nephew that would have been in the room with the young fellow that was shot by the intruder at the YWAM dorm in the Arvada suburb of Denver. The nephew had gone into the city that night and stayed.
[Mother] just NOW called me as I began to write this update! She has been in regular contact with her daughter [daughter] in Colorado Springs in regard to the shooting at New Life Church. Some awesome information is coming forth. Paul’s sister is on staff at New Life Church and this information is current to the moment. Please continue to remember this situation as the news hasn’t released or hadn’t released up to this time the presence of possible multiple bombs around the church.
A single line in one report indicated that the bomb squad had entered the church. [daughter] just told her mom, that the reason the body of the shooter hasn’t been removed from the site is that it is suspected that he is “wired” to explode. A car the shooter was in was also full of bombs.
Another interesting piece of information: [daughter] has been doing bible study with a lady who is a police officer and a “sharp shooter.” Recently she felt led to contact the church and offer her services as a “security guard” because she felt that there was a risk of some looney doing something crazy. She was apparantely the one who killed the shooter.
WOW!! Our God is MIGHTY!! In the midst of what the devil may have planned to bomb a church full of people, GOD INTERVENED!!He spoke to one lady to volunteer her “sharp shooter services” as a security guard and prevented what might have been a much more serious tragedy!

Wow, our OU bomber was from CO Springs, ya know. As I just posted to LibertyRocks, his mentally ill brother was just put in federal prison in October for threats to FBI agents, or I would have said he looked “good” as someone to check out for this shooting - but with the add’l bomb info, it’s really coincidental.
now hearing that the security guard is a cop - makes me think there may have been intel on threats made against the church. She could even have been undercover.

I am so glad your friend and her children are safe. I will be keeping everyone involved in this situation in my prayers... It’s clearly not quite over yet as from what you are saying it doesn’t sound like the area has been secured...
