It was by a bus, but, IIRC, the buss was parked on a driveway sort of affair, not in a large parking lot. I recall that the bench and walkway were across the driveway from the stadium.
Terms may not be exactly correct.
The bench was on a walkway in front of a large classroom building. The walkway connected from the Oval, a circular drive where the bus was parked, through the commons area between two buildings, over to the stadium, a little ways away.
It was closer to the bus area than to the stadium, though.
