I know I know, I must either be racist or insensitive or automatically both in the eyes of all liberals or the liberal inclined when I say this but I find it totally interesting that I am now living in South Africa and find NOTHING showing their attention to Dr. Maulana Karenga's Kwanzaa INVENTION.
I have asked about it I get snickers and many 'deer-in-the-headlight' looks.
Christmas is the order of the day during the holiday season. It is celebrated in the same way however even though the government of this country is in many ways corrupt the schools are actually allowed to speak about (gasp) Jesus and Christmas and all the things surrounding it. No, they are not in school over that holiday as it is their mid summer, but you can go to the American International School in Johannesburg and find the Peace Corps liberals who are teaching kids in liberal theology. I am sure their goal is indoctrination in being against such things. Interesting to note it costs nearly 18,000 dollars US to have a kid go there but a better than average private school is less than 3,000. hmmmmmmmm.
Doesn’t really seem like it’s catching on here, either...

I have met exactly one person in my life that celebrated Kwanzaa. She was a black gal who held a degree in African studies. She wore the african hats and all that stuff.
While she was off at school studying some airy BS that wouldn’t get her a job, her kid would come around asking for food.
She was a nice gal, but had her priority’s all wrong.

Why would there be Kwanza in Africa? It was invented in California in the 70’s, as I recall.
