Olmert: Israel will expose Iranian nuclear weapons program
Jerusalem Post ^ | Dec 9 2007

"Israel will work with the International Atomic Energy Agency to expose the Iranian plan to develop nuclear weapons, despite the limitations that Iran is setting," Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Sunday.

Olmert said the new US intelligence report concluding that Iran has given up its nuclear weapons program will not change Israel's view that Iran is trying to develop a nuclear bomb, his first comment on the report.

"Israel has no reason to change the assessments it had all along that Iran is continuing to pursue nuclear weapons and is developing weapons and rockets and enriching uranium," Olmert told a closed meeting of his Security Cabinet, according to a participant in the session.

The US report reversed years of conclusions that Iran was working on a nuclear weapon. Israeli officials discounted the conclusion, insisting that their intelligence indicated that Iran was still on the course of nuclear weapons capability. For years, Israel has been urging the world community to act to stop Iran's nuclear program.

I see the Brits chimed in today calling NIE a crock. Looks like our intelligence services are more concerned with serving a political agenda than providing legitimate intel.

I hope they do.. Then, just maybe, people’s eyes will be opened to how bad the CIA really is...

And what happened between 2003 when the Iranians supposedly paused and now, late 2007? In 2005 Whackjob was installed as the Iranian president. Gee, nothing changed, right?

The Mossad may have to whack old Mo ElBaradi to get the message out, though.

They’re more concerned with which school their fellow spook attended, what layer of the Alexandria crust they marry into and their pension.

Good. The traitors and morons in our intel services and St. Dept. need to be exposed as well.

Why would a guy like Stinky Ahmadgenocide, who is a zealot, suddenly decide to forego their quest for a nuclear weapon?

Better yet, the LEFT believes that our intel was wrong about the WMD in Iraq. Our intel services are the biggest numpties in the world and that they are pathetic and useless.

But this NIE is akin to the Gospel. Suddenly our intel services are brilliant.. never mind the centrifuges, never mind the refusal of Iran and Stinky, the chief jihadi, to co-operate with WMD inspectors.

"Naive" doesn't begin to describe it.

Interesting that the JCS Chairman is hot-footing it to Israel to meet with Israeli intel.

Looking for a serious assessment, instead of the opinions of Plame's Playboys.

America may be able to vote out traitors in Congress,
but those in State and CIA are forever ...
and can take out America's chosen CIC at their leisure and choice.

Olmert has very little credibility. He and the people he put in charge of it screwed up the Syrian incursion and quickly retreated under pressure. He is more interested in kicking settlers off their land and jailing religious Jews than he is in protecting them against Israel’s enemies.

I guess that strike into Syria to take out their nuclear site was a figment of my imagination. /s/
