If there are not enough sane individuals amongst the practitioners of Islam, to seize control and suppress the violence of the militant Islamists - they will have to face the same consequences....

I thought you were talking about the “radical insane” like the “radical insane” who were calling for the death of a school teacher. That is a matter of culture, not Constitution.

If you want to talk about the cause for the supposed death of the Constitution, I’d say the blame lies first with lazy citizens looking for a free handout. Politicians are doing what politicians do: take advantage of the openings we give them.

Of course as for the Constitution goes, early reports of its death are premature. Maybe you’re a Naomi Wolfe fan, however.
