She's the ultimate professional woman. So you'd think Hillary Clinton's biggest source of support would be other alpha females.
But as the New York senator's presidential campaign works to mobilize women executives, doctors and lawyers around America, it's getting a reality check: Many have resisted the call-up. So far, she's doing better among women of more modest means.
Professional women are "much harder sells" than men. "They're tough." They are less inclined than men to see things in black and white, and seek more information before deciding, this adviser says. Events for businesswomen must be substantive, because they frequently ask more questions than businessmen, Sen. Clinton's advisers say.
Dr. Janice Werbinski, past president of American Medical Women's Association and an early Clinton supporter, says she didn't like the New York senator's answers in a recent conference call for female physicians. "Now I'm having second thoughts," she says.
"I saw the same thing when I ran for Senate the first time in 2000," Sen. Clinton said in an interview on Wednesday afternoon. "Professional women were the last to close for me." They were not about to support her just because of her gender, she said. "This is very much in line with what I've seen" in past campaigns.
...Among all women -- Democrats, Republicans and independents -- feelings toward Sen. Clinton vary with professional status, according to the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC national poll, taken in early November. Among nonprofessionals, 52% said they had positive impressions of her, while 38% were negative. But women who identify themselves as professionals or managers were markedly less enthusiastic, with 42% reporting positive impressions, and 44% negative.
Another challenge: Professional women are naturally higher-income than their nonprofessional peers, putting them squarely in the traditional low-tax, antiregulation territory of the Republican Party.

No. They are going to cheat. My bet is she is going to take a VP who can deliver a state to her (New Mexico) then steal Ohio.
Professional women (and I am one) see her as weak, irresponsible, inexperienced, and stupid.
Weak for her flip-flopping and for staying with a husband who regularly humiliates her.
Irresponsible for not owning her past and for trying to rewrite it.
Inexperienced because just being there does not substitute for being on the chopping block and making a real difference.
Stupid for her “I don’t recall” comments and thinking we can’t see her lack of integrity and experience.
Then you add that she wants to take stuff away from us for the common good. I have news for her. Most professional women have had to pay a high price and work very hard to get where they are and they don’t want someone like her taking it away!
Politicians are supporting her as their candidate because they are afraid not to. She knows where all the scandals are. BUT the game is not over yet. I am not convinced that she will be their candidate. Things are getting really bad if she thinks that having Chelsea at her side balances having Oprah at Obama’s. (See Drudge.) The woman is delusional.
I predict a rather messy meltdown for her at some point in the future.
How very 60s of them. We women professionals should be beyond all that feminist sisterhood flower-power solidarity cr*p. I know I am.
Data to support this speculation? My experience teaching professional women in CME's contradicts this.
Maybe I am wrong on my facts, but I don’t see her as an ultimate professional woman. How old is Hillary now? Isn’t she close to 60? How many years has she actually worked as a professional? I hear about the things she did as a student. I hear about the jobs she did in the Rose Law Firm which she only got to do because she was married to the governor. During the Clinton presidency, she was not employed. Yes, she has had several years in the Senate. It just seems to me that if she is to be classified as the ultimate professional woman, she should have more years and more experience under her belt.
The one huge thing Hillary has going for her is the fact that the MSM will blow out all the stops and conduct the biggest propaganda campaign in the history of the planet, in an attempt to elect this creature. To the MSM, she is the AntiConservative and that's good enough for them.
This election will be a barometer of how much power the MSM has left. If they have enough power to swing an election, she wins. That's it in a nutshell.

No data. Just a bunch of self-identified "professional women" themselves, preening in front of the mirror, telling themselves and each other, they are the fairest ones of all.
Oh, yes, they will cheat.
I suspect that Hillary's operatives will obtain and send in numerous fraudulent absent voter ballots; and where electronic voting is done, her computer experts (from inside China perhaps?) will "assist" with the counting. Alpha females will not be needed.
Her lawyer pals will be spring-loaded to sue GOP voters in every close election; and military votes will be challenged, or "lost" outright.
Then, once president, Hillary RODHAM will ensure that the Justice dept is populated with her operatives, and expand the Supremes to eleven, making sure that her election cheating will continue ever after, and that she is free to pursue her psychotic collectivist goals of removing our freedoms and national identity.
Cheat? It's the Rodham/Clinton way.

She is NOT the working woman. Although she has her legal experience, she is seen as the WIFE of the President who was elected to the Senate in NY simply because she is the WIFE of the President. Many hard-working women hate her “by his coat tails” rise to fame. Now, there are women who will vote for her simply because she is a woman (a shallow reason, but no more shallow than people hating Romney because he is a Mormon or Fred because he talks slow, ...).
But I agree that she is anti-Republican and that is her campaign message. Prediction: she will get the nomination, pick Bill richardson as her VP to get the Hispanic vote, hint at making all illegals citizens. She WILL be the next POTUS.
heh. Ambiguous actually. It sounds like they are calling her a "professional woman" but in reality they mean professional "woman". And not all that adept, at that.
Most of the professional women I meet on a day to day basis are just that. It’s a new day, Hillary.

Not only do successful professional women ask MORE questions of Herself, the Cold and Joyless, than men, those questions are a lot more troubling for Herself. Like, what has Herself REALLY done, that may be pointed to as a success? The healthcare fiasco of 1994, which probably resulted in the takeover of the House by a Republican majority in the elections that fall, probably was a net LOSS for any agenda being advanced by the “triangulation” method. Winning an election in a state wherein Herself had no prior ties, was an example of being able to apply somebody else’s clout, not as a result of any spectacular new program Herself was going to apply in the Senate on behalf of New York State (turned out, there WAS no program to specifically bring greater government spending to New York).
For no other reason than it is “her turn”, Herself has carried this cloak of inevitability, which is fast being shredded, as Oprah Winfrey and others are shifting support to that wonderful Magic Negro, Barack Hussein Obama (a closet Muslim and quite possibly of questionable sexual orientation as well).
Let’s hope that her meltdown doesn’t come IF or when she is leader of this country and in the middle of a national crisis. You’re right. Staying with an abuser does not look good on her resume . . and the stuff he has done to her has been nothing short of abuse all dressed up in a passive / aggressive outfit. Perhaps it’s mutual with them; but how I dearly wish that this country didn’t have to endure their messy, dysfunctional, embarrassing marital death throes struggles. It’s asinine and beyond describable.

I'm not ready to concede that quite yet. I think there's a real possibility that the MSM does not have enough power left to swing the election. We'll see.
I can tell you this: If she is elected, it's final and official that the USA I grew up in is dead and gone.
