Thank you for saying you had issues with the direction the conversation was going.

I want to believe offense wasn’t meant, but we should all think before we speak. Some can call their comments trying to lighten things up.....I ask you would this poor man and his family see what you have said as lightening things up?

There is a lot of speculation that has been said here.

Did anyone stop to consider the poor man is still in shock. He is only 28 and had to make the official call there were no hopes of recovery based on the doctors best medical knowledge.

Unless you have been there you have no idea how difficult and heartbreaking that is. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

In this day and age, we don’t expect to loose the Mother during childbrith and have such a bittersweet outcome. The poor man still has the babies health and futures to worry about.

My heart is breaking for this man and the family’s. It is such a tragic thing.

Hopefully, the children will be strong and proud should there be teasing because of their names. There is a heartwarming story behind the names. If they truly find their names that much of a problem, they could legally change them. I doubt they will....because of the loving intent of how they received their names. It was not to be cute or different....but a much sadder reality.

I think it is a given that most parents first prayer and wish is their baby be HEALTHY. The fact he said.... all he had wanted was a son. That in no way means he didn’t want and wouldn’t be delighted with a daughter!!!

Why wouldn't it be as easy to speculate that a boy would have completed their family and then would have the privilege of son's and daughter's that many people privately think is the "ideal" family?

Some of you may have been referring to the extremes, and thankfully rare, people that truly want only a boy or a girl. Personally, my belief is people with that definite of “wants” shouldn’t be having children for the poor child’s sake.

To say that boys or girls are easier to raise than the other....either haven’t applied the EXACT same standards and rules to/for their boys and girls and/or they didn’t have a child that was strong willed.

Thank you for you indulgence. And before everyone jumps all over me....I only joined here in order to respond to the comments on this one thread and will be unsubbing now.

I just had to speak out on behalf of this poor family.
