"...Few know that Dylan Klebold, one of the two Columbine killers, closely was following Colorado legislation that would have allowed citizens to carry a concealed handgun. Klebold strongly opposed the legislation and openly talked about it.
No wonder, as the bill being debated would have allowed permitted guns to be carried on school property. It is quite a coincidence that he attacked the Columbine High School the very day the legislature was scheduled to vote on the bill..."

law abiding gun permitters make this world a safer place. I feel safer knowing they are around me.

Well, it’s a good thing it was a gun-free-zone, or even more people may have gotten hurt. (sarc alert)

"Nebraska allows people to carry permitted concealed handguns, but it allows property owners, such as the Westroads Mall, to post signs banning permit holders from legally carrying guns on their property."
Just because the press has failed to take notice of the fact that this mall was a "gun-free zone," don't think the shooter missed those signs.
Will people ever get wise to the fact that we have set up every public school in the country as places to go to massacre people at will with no fear of being stopped prematurely?

Does anyone have any details about the firearm that was used?
To: Beelzebubba
So carry a gun in the mall anyway. How would anybody know unless you shoot someone?
To: Beelzebubba
I’m thinking the shooter must not have been aware of the gun ban on the mall property. Otherwise I’m sure he would of not brought the gun on the property and committed this terrible act. At least that’s the logic the gun control nuts use. They think criminals and those with criminal intent who have been violating or intent on violating other laws and rules will somehow obey this one, and not rob that bank, or shoot up a mall. The only successful gun control method is a steady hand.

Yep. I put the blame on idiot liberals who keep us forcibly disarmed and then wonder why massacres happen in places where people are not allowed to defend themselves.

Unfortunately, from all accounts, it sounds like nobody had a chance to defend themselves. Even if somebody was carrying a weapon, there still would have been dead people since he came out of the elevator firing his gun. But, we’ll hear from all of the gun control morons how more laws would have stopped this senseless shooting. It’s just a damn shame...

On TV this morning they said the security guards were not armed.

Wasn't it in WA state last year where an off duty, out-of-jurisdiction cop (basically the same as any civilian with a CCW) stopped a mall shooter cold?
As I recall, the perp had a pump shotgun and a big sack full of shells, ready for prolonged murder and mayhem, but the off duty cop nailed him.
