After 11 years and two national exposures, at some point we have to conclude that the man doesn’t care.

I agree. I think they will self-deport if the incentives are killed and employers are severely punished. His path to citizenship is definitely questionable. At first reading it sounds like he is saying they should go home and apply but on second reading that is not what he is saying at all. This will definitely matter to me. I want them to leave and NO ONE is going to round them up but they will leave if they have no choice.
