I heard what Rush had to say about Thompson so I emailed him to tell him that talking conservative during an election season is not the same as being a conservative. I informed Rush that Duncan Hunter is the real conservative. I expect Rush to change his tune now that he has been set straight.

Every now and then there are callers to Rush’s show who encourage Rush and all conservatives to fully support just Duncan Hunter, but it hasn’t helped Duncan one bit so far.
Duncan Hunter is a great guy, but decidedly not a top-tier polling candidate. Neither is Tancredo.
Rush said what was true. Of those candidates not at the bottom of the barrel, Fred is the only conservative.
Of all the announced candidates, Duncan is the most conservative.
What part of "sounds the most conservative of the top five" are you having trouble with?
If Rush endorsed Hunter he still would go nowhere, because if he could win he would have gone somewhere by now.
All those “conservative” pundits I take with a barrel of salt. After 2008, many others will join me, I’ve a feeling. What they do is basically, “talk”. Hell if I wanted just “talk”, I can get that from the “top tier”. I want someone who has “done” and will “do”, something.

PS; I am almost sure Bo Derek and the American Associated Union of International Equestrians & Horsies for Growth is going to endorse Hunter. Keep your fingers crossed.
