“What conservatives have to realize is that Giuliani is now relying on Mike Huckabee to take his most viable opponent, Mitt Romney, down in Iowa, and that anyone voting for him there in the caucuses will be inadvertently, and ironically, helping the New Yorker,” David A. Keene, chairman of the American Conservative Union, said earlier this week in a surprise endorsement of Mr. Romney.

This is a man who has accurately deduced the political dynamic. You have to deal with one threat at a time. Hillary is dealt with only after Guilliani.
Huckabee’s support needs to NOT come from Romney. Guilliani will sit back and take the nomination on the backs of delegates from NY and Calif and FL. Get that well understood. Guilliani does NOT need the south to win the nomination.
And no, it’s not the RNC orchestrating it. It is the voters. If the voters want Huckabee to progress, it needs to NOT be voters from Romney fueling the advance. This is the brilliant tactical understanding Keane is laying on the table. Guilliani must be stopped. Period. Huckabee doesn’t have the money or organization to win the northern delegates necessary to do it. Romney does.
Romney can beat Hildy but she would crush Huckabee.

Tragically it is too late, for the first time Mitt Romney has slid down to 10 points in Rasmussin’s national poll today.

Romney must be stopped too.
If people can say they "like Mike", without reviewing his record, then I submit I've talked with Republicans and Democrats who "like Mitt".
If all we had to choose from came down two of them, we need to ask ourselves which one of these men has the maturity and Presidential image to lead this country?
It isn't Huckabee..
And as far as a VP goes, we need to balance it out with a STRONG border anti-amnesty candidate. That would be Hunter.
