Weird that all the far far Leftist outlets, like the Village Voice, are trashing Rudy. One would think he would be their dream candidate. A Republican who agrees with all their social dogmas

Mayor Giuliani was successfully bringing down street crime in the City of New York at the time. He didn’t have the ability to connect the dots about a bunch of Moslems on the West Coast in this country illegally.

The Village Voice hits my dumpster right before the New York Times.

And when they do a hatchet job on your candidate of choice, which they will, I won’t hold my breath waiting to see if you post it.

After 9/11, Judy bought Rudy a book published two years earlier about Bin Laden.

Rudy read it (with a highlighter!) and became a terrorist expert! Gotta love it!

It’s too bad Fred, Mitt, John, Duncan or Mike didn’t brief him with their expertise on terrorism.

Though Giuliani has been presenting himself on the campaign trail as the person who can best safeguard America, he told the commission: "The only thing to protect you against terrorism is to find out about a plot in advance." And thus far, he has presented no plausible evidence to suggest that he'd be better than anyone else running for president at doing that.

I wouldn't really hold this against Giuliani except that he's tried to position himself as the best "anti-terrorism" candidate in the GOP field.

The reality is that very few people in national politics had a freaking clue about the threat al-Qaeda posed to this country. If you want a real eye-opener, just do an internet search on the term "al-Qaeda" along with the name of any other dope in the Bush administration who has been instrumental in the so-called "war on terror" . . . the lack of any search results dating back before 9/11 speaks volumes. This administration was no better prepared to deal with al-Qaeda than the last one was.

You should be thanking the VV. If it's not reported now, this story would have been the lead on CBS News the morning after Rudy's primary victories.

They're ALL going to do a "hatchet" job on Rudy, should he win the nomination, so complaining about the messenger now is a moot point. In fact, the MSM and Democrats are probably upset that the far Left is doing their job. I respect the leftists at the Village Voice more than I do liberals in the MSM who smile at Rudy now but then will turn on him like a snake after the nomination.

One thing this does. It tells us what a “big selljob” it really is that Rudy would be so tough on terrorism.

Smoke and mirrors folks, Rooty is but an illusion.

He is merely the vessel that the elites are using to have their way with the electorate.

They won’t get me voting for him. I do not care for them and their visible tactics.

..It made specific references to a "bin Laden cell in New York"..

In New York? I didn't think they were in NY until they died their on 9/11. I thought the cells were located elsewhere, like Hamburg when they were planning.

Well, it seems Rudy knows more than me at least.

This is a story? Lib rag prints what it SAYS is a document from the 9/11 Comm., a doc that CAN’T be released until AFTER the election (WHY?)and all of you Rudy haters treat it as if it were written on a tablet from the mountain.

9/11 happened, Rudy was there and he was a LEADER. Monday morning QB is easy and 20/20 hindsight is always crystal clear.

Yep! They have tried to build his legacy around 9/11, presenting him as an expert on terrorism. As Mayor, he has the least experience in national affairs--but that doesn't stop folks from pushing him based on the illusion. Sadly, many voters will believe it.

I don’t hold his lack of knowledge about terrorism against him, as a person. I do find it offensive that he is using a myth, that he is some sort of terrorism expert and has studied it for 30 years, as a basis for his campaign.

How many terrorist incidents were there in NYC before 9/11? Quite a few, as I recall. In response to one, Rudy used it as an opportunity to join with the gun-grabbers calling for more gun control. His liberal instincts in the time of crisis were to encroach on more freedoms of U.S. citizens. Any vision was totally absent. This is not a good thing in selecting a President!

The author, whose material I have followed for decades, is a Stalinist.

Clearly the Moonbat Left assumes Rudy is the biggest threat to Hillary.

Put another way, our most vile enemies view Rudy as their biggest enemy.

Rudy, Became mayor of NYC in 1994 after the 1993 World Trade center bombings. I would think he would bone up on this stuff while he was mayor
