How is our fraud filled welfare, SSI and government housing (which harbor murderous gangs) better than the old local community paid poor houses? The poor houses were better.
Today’s society has lost the sense of shame that used to be associated with having to go to the poor house or being on the dole.
Because of that no one worries about getting welfare or tries to get off welfare.
