"No, the EU will end becoming in some kind of Soviet Union, ruled by a Nomenklatura, a caste, unconnected to the people. "

The UK throws away the Magna Carta for Marx.

Read post #17 comments. This is how the real people of Britain feel. Some of the best comments I have read. It gives hope.

It is like they are fighting like we are.If the common people of all these countries get together and revolt, the NWO will never make it.

"He will now force the Treaty through Parliament by next Spring, forcing three months of bitter Commons and Lords wrangling. Pray that he is unsuccessful."

The Socialist/New Labour Party has a 66 man majority in Commons, enough to carry even losing a few Labour votes.

While a majority of Brits favor a referrendum, a majority say they would vote to give up sovereignty to EU.

From the article:

Only 49 per cent now think that Mr Brown is the best man to represent them.

Double the favorable rating of President Bush at the moment.

Very sad indeed.   :-(

Such is the strength of the siren song of Socialism.

For something as big as the Reform Treaty, there should be some sort of referendum. As this and other articles state, the UK is handing over a fair amount of sovereignty.

Just because in the past Parliament was able to pass treaties giving the EU (or what would become the EU) power over the national government (such as Maastricht) without referenda doesn't make that the proper decision.

The same thing is happening in the US of A on a daily if not hourly basis.

Perhaps not in the same manner, but the end results will be the same.

Our males are being feminized, our females are being masculinized, and both are being homosexualized. More and more people each day are demanding that the Government do everything necessary to take care of them from the cradle to the grave.

On a daily basis more peope are deciding that they would rather live as slaves to the Government than as free people.

It will be us next.

Exactamundo!

The North American Union keeps on chugging along towards implementation with our dear elected "leaders" doing all they can to help it along by throwing open the borders and letting anyone and everyone come in and go out as they please.

All hail the New World Order and the One World Government!

Can’t the Queen dissolve Parliament? If so, what would happen then, would there have to be new government elections?

Yes, they do need our prayers. New Webster’s versions should have Brown’s picture over the word traitor.

That would be a rather autocratic thing to do, seeing as normally the Prime Minister has to ask the Queen to dissolve parliament. Although technically you’re right she could.

I wonder if she’d pass up the chance to have tea with the man who completed the destruction of the British Empire...

For something as big as the Reform Treaty, there should be some sort of referendum.

When Britain first, at heaven's command,
Arose from out the azure main,
This was the charter of the land,
And guardian angels sung this strain:
'Rule, Britannia, rule the waves;
Britons never will be slaves.'

James Thomson (1700 - 1748)

Cameron is an idiot, and has zero chance at power.
