I would bet that Tancredo will be next to drop out, although his Congressional seat, which covers Colorado Springs, probably the most strongly evangelical city outside the South, is safe. He is running out of money. I don’t believe Hunter is faring much better financially; as far as I know, he should be able to keep his day job in Congress. On the Democrat side, with Hillary Clinton having a considerable lead, the race now appears to be an extended audition for the Vice Presidential nomination, a Cabinet-level position, or an ambassadorship in a third Clinton administration. The two Democrats that are out of the power club, Dennis Kuchinich and Mike Gravel, seem to be running under the radar through a network of small dollar supporters, sort of like Ron Paul.

Tancredo now has more campaign debt than cash-on-hand, to the tune of about $200k.

Hunter is slightly better off; though he has raised the least amount of any candidate (unless you want to count Cox or Keyes), he still has a little more than $100k in cash-on-hand with no campaign debt. However, Hunter has also announced his intention to not seek re-election to his House seat; one of his sons will be running for the open seat.

I thought the plan for Hunter was to let his son inherit the seat. (Although there may be some question as to whether the son can be legally running for the seat.)

Duncan Hunter is not running for re-election. His son is running for his Congressional seat, and will probably benefit greatly from Duncan Hunter's funds from the presidential primary race once Hunter loses the primary.

Those of us who are true Conservatives must do all we can to get Rep. Hunter elected. The country wants a clear antithesis to the DINOrat candidate, and we have no clearer choice than Rep. Duncan Hunter.

Get a loan, have a garage sale and send the proceeds to: Hunter for President at

9340 Fuerte Dr. Suite 302
La Mesa, CA 91941

or donate electronically: http://www.gohunter08.com

If we can’t put some sense back into Washington DC, we will have no cents left to put.

Thank you.
