I guess the deadline is earlier since the conference is earlier than last year. I will go but if it’s as mobbed as last year I won’t expect to get into many sessions. They really should hold it at the convention center.

You make a good point about CPAC being "mobbed" last year, which it was at times. I had forgotten about that. We tend to spend all day each day camped out in that main ballroom, but if you want to go to another side-session (or even go to the restroom at the "wrong" time), it can be a problem getting back into the ballroom, even if you left your stuff (and family members and friends) there.

Hmmm... I thought David Keene said last year that they were going to hold CPAC 2008 at the convention center. Oh well, I've signed up anyway... guess we'll just have to see how it goes...

I figure if I can’t get in to the main ballroom I might go to more of the secondary sessions. Some are quite good anyway.

I was going to sign up just for the conference at $100 but I would like to see Vice President Cheney. He is usually at the Thursday night banquet. There is an option for “Presidential banquet only” but I am not clear on whether that includes the conference pass. I assume it does not. Does that sound right to you?

I think the “Presidential banquet only” option is just for the banquet only - not the conference pass, but I’m not sure. I think your best bet would be to call the nice folks at CPAC directly with that question: 800-752-4391. I’ve called them several times in the past... the people there have been very helpful.

Yes, many of the secondary sessions last year were excellent! I found myself running thru the halls quite often, trying to be in two places at one time... LOL.
