I’ve often referred to the current war as ‘being played by T-Ball rules: nobody wins-nobody loses’, and that is a recipe for a more protracted, more painful, war than is necessary - or tolerable....
If ‘victory’ is, in the final analysis’ “the sapping of the enemy’s will to fight”, then we’re already losing this war - not from horrendous losses, but from sheer boredom.
