Quality satire from Scrappleface, as usual.
If the Republicans in Congress had three working brain cells among them, they'd make the Democrats vote to condemn (or refuse to vote to condemn) the 1970s communist genocide in Southeast Asia that they helped facilitate.

The Romans didn't wipe anyone out unless they asked for it. Bad for business. In fact, they went out of their way to accomodate any sort of foreign government or ruler, no matter how strange, that promised to keep order, pay taxes, and pay homage to Rome and the emperor. They didn't impose their religion. Except to demand sacrifice to the Emperor, you were free to practice any cult you wished. In fact, the Romans would practice it right along with you.
The Romans were all-around great guys until you stepped out of line and then, Vae Victis, baby!

I thought we weren’t allowed to say “BC” and “AD” anymore. Isn’t it supposed to be that “BCE” and “CE” crap?

> “The Speaker said if the resolution passes, Democrats plan to push for sanctions against the Ottoman Empire, including a ban on sales of cavalry horses, Sopwith Camel fighter biplanes and Zeppelins.”
NOOOOOOOOO! Not Sopwith Camel fighter biplanes. NOOOOOOOOOO!
To: chessplayer
Can anyone explain why we are condemning the Turks for this alleged atrocity after nearly 100 years and just what it will accomplish??????????????
To: chessplayer
Now the Democrats should condemn the Egyptians for enslaving the Hebrews...
No, wait... that might upset Palestinian negotiations.

BWAA HAHAHAH HA! Absolutely perfect! The Marxist Left loves to pillory the Founding Fathers as slave owners when, in fact, that was the norm throughout human history to that point. The very term slave is derived from the word Slove. The Roman word for the white folks they conquered in Eastern Europe and placed into bondage as spoils of war. As usual, the libs put up a straw man issue to further the destruction of Western values and way of life.

I’m encouraged by Nancy Pelosi’s spunk. No doubt she will soon be pushing for a free Tibet.

Dang! There go our Roman allies. I don’t think we can win this war w/o Vorenus and Pullo and the might of the 13th legion.
