The country would be so much better off if we could be rid of the aged dirty stinking hippie.

I spent 84 days on the U.S.S. Triton 586 just 25 feet from one of the two reactors on the boat. We routinely carried a film badge every minute on the boat. Each month they would develop the film and measure the amount of radiation we received. On this trip we left in the middle of Feb 60. On march 1 we exchanged our film badges and the amount of radiation duely recorded. On 1 April instead of being able to measure any radiation, the film was totally negative. On 1 May the same thing happened. Both periods we were completely submerged and I next to the reactor most of this time in our CIC compartment. Also on this trip we sealed the boat and relied on internal air. After about three days, the radiation detectors began recording an increase in radiation. This continued until every alarm was active. During this period we conducted an extensive search for the radiation leak. Accidentially, a technician moved the probe across another’s wrist watch and it pegged the meter. What we had was three instrument meters and three watches with radiatoactive dials. Once they were sealed in plastic and stored in the lower attack center hatch we had no more problem.

Thus the reality was, we received all our radiation exposure from the sun rather then from our two reactors.

That is proof the liberals are nuts regarding nuclear power.
