“homosexuals ARE disproportionately more prone to molest children.” ============ I've seen a number of studies on child molestation and I think it's pretty well documented that molestation occur mostly from family members and straight males who are close to the molested child. Gay or straight orientation doesn't necessarily guarantee a likelihood that either will be a molester of children. There are gay oriented molesters and straight oriented molesters. The fact that a person is gay is no indication that he or she will molest. At the same time that I believe the above I also would not want my son to be led by a homosexual, not because I fear he'd be molested but because I would just a soon not have my son exposed to or influenced by the gay lifestyle which even a non-molesting homosexual might do simply by being a role model. I'd just as soon not have my son exposed to any sexuality while in the boy scouts, gay or straight. I'd prefer the focus be on skills, character and integrity. I've raised a few of them and a few grandkids and a few greatgrandkids.
