That's the horrible thought, it would be like being buried alive when trapped with a damaged brain. How much do they hear, are they conscious of being trapped?

Sounds as if a person’s soul is locked up in a body that no longer functions correctly. Gee, who would ever have thought that?. I believe that “vegetative” people know what is happening around them. I have watched sick people in my family react when someone said things about the “poor souls” who were no longer there. I had the thought they were using their eyes to scream they were still there.

You’re right, probably not. Keep in mind, these are the same people who say that if the life inside the womb doesn’t have all of it’s fingers and toes yet, it’s okay to kill it.

Then they cry about human rights violations in Iraq.

I doubt he would care. Took him awhile, but he got what he wanted - to get rid of his wife without losing the money through a divorce.
