Abortion always kills... sometimes it kills two.
As for the “anything goes” attitude, much of today’s hedonism goes back to people like aleister crowley. To an Internet search for him... he was one scary man.
I’m such a Pollyanna.
I’d like to see the graph of the women dead since legal abortion.
Whoa. Take it down a notch buddy.
>>That means most abortions are being used for BIRTH CONTROL, not for an unexpected pregnancy for some poor single woman.<<
That is absolutely the case.
Also over the objections of the mothers. Often girls just soak up the prevailing atmosphere of "choice" because that is the "right" attitude, and then find out, when the pregnancy test shows a positive, that this a little person whose life that "choice" would end, and they would rather not do it. But then comes the pressure from the "boyfriend", and the law is no help in resisting it.
Remember how fast Lorena Bobbitt dropped out of the news? The harpies were so thrilled with her until it turned out that her attack on her husband was a consequence of his forcing her to get an abortion.
Good response thud. I’ve done my share of research on this subject and lack of support from the father is a huge contributor to women’s abortion decision-making. That fact should be obvious to all, expect perhaps professional woman haters.
While of course we all feel badly for men who impregnate women who get abortions against the better judgement of a man who would like her to keep the baby, those men are so much the minority. Men are about as happy to hear about an unplanned pregnancy as they are to hear they’re being audited...
If you want to effectively argue with a pro-abort and leave them stammering, try this tactic. Even if you don’t believe this, look at it as a rhetorical tool to expose a pro-abort to the light of the truth of their own beliefs.
Most pro-aborts will not argue for abortion for convenience or birth control, and will always use fringe cases, most usually rape and incest.
In your argument, tell them you’d make exceptions for these cases (stay with me here). Then, ask them if it would be OK to outlaw all other cases. Usually they’ll say no, and you ask what’s left besides convenience and birth control.
They’ll struggle, come up with 1 or 2 more examples - severe defects, etc - tell them you’d allow those exceptions in law - WHAT’S LEFT?
When they realize that all that’s left is convenience and birth control, you’ve got them. They either will say “I STILL believe in a woman’s right to choose” or admit they believe abortion should be used for birth control and for the convenience of the woman.
I saw this in a sort of preview at the Film Museum in Astoria. My advice is go to see it. Take what you can from it and screen out the pontificating murderers.
I know of so many men who abandoned their pregnant women, even leaving the state! These are truly heartless cruel men who will never know the joys of fatherwood. I wish that the pro aborts would open their eyes to the cruelty of these men - if they are really “feminists” they should care about how badly their sisters are being treated.
I believe that in New York City, abouy 45% of women have undergone an abortion. I remember reading this somewhere.
Yep, that’s Sex and the City for you.
This is the main reason, IMHO, why abortion has become a necessary “evil” in our modern world. With the arrival of effective contraception (the pill), women have been more readily used by men as sex toys without having to commit or understand the primary purposes of sexual union; strengthening of the long-term bond between a man and a woman and, procreation. Period, end of story. If this union wasn’t enjoyable there wouldn’t be anyone on earth obviously. However, since men can have their cake and eat it too, with these options, all hell has broken out. Skyrocketing STD’s, abortions, broken marriages, illegitimate children, etc. all came about from the sexual revolution brought about by contraception and cemented by legal abortion. There is no end in sight. This whole charade has allowed men to remain teenage boys and women to be their objects of desire, but not necessarily long-term commitment or support being anywhere in the picture. Women, through feminist ideology, think they are equal to men in this arena and are exercising their sexual freedom however they are the ones who ultimately pay the physical and psychological price for abortion. Men should be ashamed of themselves because they are no longer responsible “men” in the traditional sense and women have been allowed to become, in essence, what was once reserved for, whores. I’m sick and tired of this being a “Women’s Issue;” it’s a human issue given that both males and females are being murdered by abortion. It’s a man’s issue as well, given they are equal in their partaking of the sexual act. Mother Nature’s job is to make sure that the human race continues to exist through sexual union, just because people find ways to monkey around with it doesn’t change the end result, which is pregnancy, wanted or not, regardless of how good the contraceptive product is.
This isn’t freedom, it’s decadence, immaturity, debauchery, etc. in full blossom. And we wonder why our society is in decline. People need to look to their own belief and actions and understand what the long-term impact is on society. So far it hasn’t been pretty.
The irony is that when I heard a panel discussion in August, called “What’s so bad about abortion?” (packed with pro aborts) one of the harpies had the nerve to say that abortion is “not related to the sexual revolution”. A lie if I ever heard one! Of course, legalized abortion led to the increase in promiscuous behaviour because it gave people an “out”. And promiscuity also led to Roe. They are interconnected. There are serious consequences for not treating women with love and respect.
Did you know that the majority of unintended pregnancies are CAUSED by “contraceptive failure”?
I have a hunch that Dershowitz has never spouted any similar relativistic claptrap when the subject was the Holocaust.
Sex, sex, sex, anytime, anywhere, with anyone, etc. etc.
